My pitch presentation for Canon journeys. The document outlines ideas for a photography project to promote Canon cameras to younger audiences. It discusses taking photos from a distance like from a hilltop or of streetlights up close or from above. It is inspired by posters for WWE or boxing that get their point across clearly. Examples are given of effective Canon advertisements. The proposal is to create a poster showing photos taken with a Canon camera that depict journeys or stories through unique images. Examples found online serving as inspiration show pathways, fog, and lights suggesting travel and journeys.

2. Canon
• Canon are a multi based company that mainly focus on the idea of
photography. However, they do many other products such as lenses ,
printers, photo copiers, Cameras and many other things.
• Canon are mainly based in Europe and are very popular with media
due to photography and film-based projects
• Canon are asking people between 15 and 25 to be more
productive with the cameras and develop their photography
skills because they believe that with a younger group could produce
different types of ideas
4. My ideas
• What you are going to do: For my canon project I'm going to aim to
do a poster, because I believe it would be the best creation, I can
produce for the company Canon.
• What you are taking photos of: I'm going to take pictures of things in the
distance, for example being on top of a hill and taking a picture looking down or a
picture of streetlights, close up or top down (distance). Furthermore, I have
multiple more ideas I can do but that is the main on I want to do.
• What is inspiring you: what's inspired me to do a poster is that I've
liked the way posters get the point across, like WWE or Boxing
Posters have in the past and still do. More so Canon does the exact
same, which is something I like
5. Examples of the posters that
have given me inspiration to go
forward and do posters
6. Explanation what I like, dislike and
change about the three posters of
canon I've chosen
7. On this poster of the advertisement the
designer has placed the camera in the eye
of the chameleon which has very good
eyesight and not only that they can change
between both monocular and binocular
vision. Furthermore, the chameleon is
looking at you and the background is
blurred which is telling us that the lens of
the camera is exactly like the chameleon
eyesight.
The designer has made sure that the
"Canon Redefine your FOCUS" is the one
of the things that catches your eye aswell
as the chameleon and it has done that by
bluring the background out making them
the prime thing that’s is focused on.
8. On this advertisement of the canon camera I blurs out the background to make us focus on the camera what has
been placed in front of us, the reason why is because they are showing that the canon camera can take very
good quality pictures as if you were there taking the picture, furthermore it also shows that it can take pictures
of things that are far away like the bridge at the front and still being able to see the bridge at the back and picks
up detail very well.
9. There are a few things that I do and don’t like about this type of advertisement for the canon camera, the things I do like is
that they have used a black background to really make the camera look bold and, in your face, making all the detail really
show. Furthermore, I like how it features all the other things it has for example the 6400 IOS and the 18.0 Mega Pixels
However, what I don’t like, even though they have mentioned the great things about the camera, some views don’t always
read or understand what they mean and go for the visuals, so I would have made the background something jaw dropping
with what the camera is capable of producing. Although I like the black background it doesn’t really show what it can do.
10. Inspiration
Here are some images I've found on the internet that iv taken as part of
inspiration of my photos, I how unique and different they all are and tell
different story's in them that can and could be any type of journey. For
example, the one with the lens flare on a pathway could just be a physical
journey towards somewhere as well as the one with the fog, although its
mysterious there is a figure there insinuating travel, his own journey and
the lights on the road showing car lights as travelling, showing that all of
these are still images you still create a journey and story in your head due to
your imagination being endless.
