2. What is volcano?
A volcano is a rupture in the crust of a
planetary-mass object, such as earth, that
allows hot lava, volcanic ash, and gases to
escape from a magma chamber below the
surface. Earths volcanoes occur because its
crust is broken into 17 major, rigid tectonic
that float on , softer layer in its mantle.
3. Definition of volcano
-into the The definition of volcano
is rupture in the earths crust where
molten lava,hot ash,and gases
from below the earths crust escape
air.
4. What are the causes of volcano
Volcanoes happen when magma rises to the
surface of the earth, which causes bubbles of
gas to appear in it. This gas can cause pressure
to build up in the mountain, and it eventually
explodes. When the magma bursts out nof the
earth, it is called lava.
5. What are the three main volcanoes
Composite volcanoes
Shield volcanoes
Dome (Acid Lava Cones )
6. COMPOSITE VOLCANOES
Composite volcanoes, someyimes known as strato
volcanoes, are step sided cones formed layers of ash
and lava flows. The eruption from these volcanoes
maybe pyroclastic flow rather than a flow of lava. A
pyroclastic flow is a superheated mixtyre of hot
string, ash, rock and dust.
7. Shield volcanoes
Shield volcanoes are low with gently sloping sides
and are formed from layers of lava. Eruption are
typically non-explosive shield volcanoes produce fast
flowing fluid lava that can flow for many miles.
Eruption tend to be frequent but relatively gental.
Although these eruption destroy property, death or
injury to humans rarely occurs.
8. Dome (acid lava cones )
Acid lava is much thicker that lava which flows
from shield volcanoes have much steeper
sides than shield volcanoes. This is because
the lava is thick and sticky. It cannot flow very
far before ot cools and hardens. An example is
puy de dome and the auverjne region of
france which last erupted over 1 million years
ago.
9. List of active volcanoes in Philippines.
Mayon in albay is nthe most active volcano in the Philippines.
Taal in batangas.
Kanlaon in negros island
Bulusan in sorsogon
Smith in calayan.
Hibok-hibok in camiguin.
Pinatubo in zambales.
Musuan in bukidnon.
10. Why are volcanoes important
Volcanic eruption is responsible for releasing molten
rock, or lava, from deep within the earth, forming new
rock on the earths surface. But eruption also impact
the atmosphere. The gases and dust particles thrown
into the atmosphere during volcanic eruption have
influences on climate.
11. Positive and Negative effect of
volcanoes.
Positive – I guess the main good effect that volcanoes have on
the environment is to provide nutrients to the surrounding
soil. Volcanic ash often contains minerals that are beneficial to
plants, and if it is very fine ash it is able to break down quickly
and get mixed into the soil
Negative effects of volcanoes eruption occurring close to
human settlements may spill and destroy lives and property.
12. Mayon volcano
is a sacred and active stratovolcano in the province of albay in bicol region, on the
large island of Luzon in the Philippines .
13. Taal volcano
taal volcano is a complex volcano located on the island of Luzon in
the Philippines.it is the second most active volcano in the
Philippines with 33 historical eruptions.
14. Kanlaon volcano
is an active stratovolcano on the island of negros,
Philippines. It is the highest point in negros as well as the
whole visaya’s, with an elevation of 2,465 m above sea
level.
