Amy Neeser presented on providing research services to faculty and staff. She discussed the changing landscape of academic research, including developments in technology and increased collaboration. She outlined the research lifecycle and highlighted core research services libraries provide, such as data management, scholarly communication, impact metrics, and research networking. Neeser proposed moving research services forward at UMN Libraries by conducting a user needs assessment, determining current and needed services, setting measurable goals, and providing cross-disciplinary liaison support to better serve the university's research mission.
