Rob Minkoff (the film's directors) as having "the most diverse history"
  in the film.

 It was a chart hit in the UK, peaking at #14 on the UK Singles
Chart, and achieved even more success in the U.S., reaching a peak of

 Ernie Sabella, Pumbaa

 Joseph Williams, Simba

 Sally Dworsky, Nala

 Kristle Edwards, lead female vocal
Historical Perspective

 The song was recorded in 1993 and released May 12,
  1994.

 John declared that "Can You Feel the Love Tonight"
was meant to follow "Disney's tradition of great
love songs", and that it could "express the lions'
feelings for each other far better than dialogue
  could".

 The Lion King was released on June 15, 1994.
Technical Considerations

 Animal sounds such as elephants along with drum
solos and maracas are present throughout the piece.

 The variety of instruments and voices can be
  difficult to emulate.
Stylistic Considerations

 It includes African vocals that are more prominent
in the audio-only releases, while they are mostly
muted in the on-screen version of the song.

 The lyrics should be sustained from each performer
and should not be brusque or abrupt.

 The tempo also picks up pace in the middle of the
  piece.

             But what, I can't decide

                       Verse 1
 There's a calm surrender to the rush of day
 When the heat of a rolling world can be turned
                       away

                           you
Chorus

 And can you feel the love tonight
 It is where we are
 It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
 That we got this far
 And can you feel the love tonight
 How it's laid to rest
 It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
          Believe the very best
Verse 2

 There's a time for everyone if they only learn

 That the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn

 There's a rhyme and reason to the wild outdoors

 When the heart of this star-crossed voyager beats in
                   time with yours
Chorus and Extro

 And can you feel the love tonight
 It is where we are
 It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
 That we got this far
 And can you feel the love tonight
 How it's laid to rest
