Digital multipliers are among the most critical arithmetic functional units. The overall performance of these systems depends on the throughput of the multiplier. Meanwhile, the negative bias temperature instability effect occurs when a pMOS transistor is under negative bias (Vgs = −Vdd), increasing the threshold voltage of the pMOS transistor, and reducing multiplier speed. A similar phenomenon, positive bias temperature instability, occurs when an nMOS transistor is under positive bias. Both effects degrade transistor speed, and in the long term, the system may fail due to timing violations. Therefore, it is important to design reliable high performance multipliers. In this paper, we propose an aging-aware multiplier design with novel adaptive hold logic (AHL) circuit. The multiplier is able to provide higher throughput through the variable latency and can adjust the AHL circuit to mitigate performance degradation that is due to the aging effect. Moreover, the proposed architecture can be applied to a column- or row-bypassing multiplier. The experimental results show that our proposed architecture with 16 ×16 and 32 ×32 column-bypassing multipliers can attain up to 62.88% and 76.28% performance improvement, respectively, compared with 16×16 and 32×32 fixed-latency column-bypassing multipliers. Furthermore, our proposed architecture with 16 × 16 and 32 × 32 row-bypassing multipliers can achieve up to 80.17% and 69.40% performance improvement as compared with 16×16 and 32 × 32 fixed-latency row-bypassing multipliers.

An investigation of a viscoelastic material damping effect is studied on an example of plenum air-cushion craft model. A numerical investigation was conducted to determine the vertical response characteristic of an open plenum air-cushion structure. The pure vertical motion of an air-cushion structure is investigated using a non-linear mathematical model; this incorporates a simple model to account hereditary deformable characteristic of the material.

Quantity Surveyors are an asset to both the building clients and other professionals within and outside the construction industry. This is because quantity surveyors are in charge of financial matters and provide cost management expertise in the industry. Not fully knowing their roles as quantity surveyors have hindered their engagement by the public, especially non-construction professional. This research work was carried out with the Aim of appraising the perception of Quantity Surveying Profession by Non-allied construction professionals in Nigeria, with a view to determining the level of awareness on the existence and roles of the quantity surveyors in Nigeria. The study employed questionnaire survey. Mean item score and percentage were used to analyze the data collected. It was discovered that 94.6% of the respondents have heard about the Profession and majority of them are aware of the profession for over 5 years. The study concluded that the awareness level of quantity profession among the non-construction professionals is high although, they are not well patronized by the public due to the cost of hiring the professionals. Also, there were low level of awareness in few of quantity surveyors’ duties and roles. It is recommended that there is the need for the Professionals to work hard to improve their image so as to attract patronage.

The study in made to replace the existing diesel fuel with the bio – fuels, for this fruit like Indian Pomegranate seed oil as bio – diesel is utilized. The main objective of this work is to discuss the impact of biodiesel from Pomegranate fruit seed oil bio-diesel on performance, combustion and emission characteristics diesel. In this study, the effect of bio-diesel from fruit seed oil [Indian Pomegranate seed oil] and its blends on a single cylinder Kirloskar TV-1 diesel engine were investigated. In this work, the performance, combustion and emission analysis were conducted. The tests were performed at steady state conditions with the blend ratio of B25, B50, B75 and B100. These represent the ratio of biodiesel in the blend and the rest diesel. The aim of this investigation was to reformulate the fuel to utilize the biodiesel and its blend to enhance the fuels performance, combustion characteristic and to reduce the pollution from the engine. In this work only Indian Jujube seed oil bio-diesel is utilized for the experimental work. The experimental results reveal a marginal decrease in brake thermal efficiency when compared to that of sole fuel. In this investigation, the emission test were done with the help of AVL DI gas analyzer, in which CO, HC and NOx are appreciably reduced on the other hand smoke, CO2 have marginal increased when compared to that of sole fuel. In this work combustion analysis also made with the help of AVL combustion analyzer in which bio diesel blend shows the better result when compared with diesel.

20M pneumatic camera mast At Skyhawk Aerial Imaging we operate drone technology as a primary means of inspection. There are however certain geographical areas which for many reasons means that a drone cannot legally be used. The pneumatic mast is an alternative measure which includes many of the benefits that our drones have to offer: No need for scaffolding, no working at height, reduced time and ultimately reduced costs!

The Skyhawk Aerial Imaging pneumatic camera mast enables surveyors or engineers to view areas of height with extreme ease. The live downlink means that the images can be viewed in real time as well as being saved to the hard drive for viewing in the office later. Controlled from the ground, images are obtained using 360-degree pan & tilt technology as well as a powerful zoom lens for areas of concern. Direction can be given to the operative so as to capture any desired area.
