Camas is a village located 4 km from Seville, the capital city of the province of Seville. Some of Camas' important traditions include elaborate Holy Week processions featuring Christ and Virgin figures, an annual fair where women wear flamenco dresses, and the Rocio pilgrimage in May where some travel on foot or horseback to a small village to see the Virgin. Camas is also known for the Carambolo treasure found there in 1958 belonging to the Tartessos civilization, and has produced famous residents like soccer player Sergio Ramos and bullfighter Curro Romero. The village's economy relies on agriculture including wine, oranges, olives, and cured ham.
