This document discusses Calico Docker+IPAM and provides examples of how to: 1. Create a Calico IP pool 2. Create a Docker network using the IP pool 3. Create a container using a specific IP address from the pool It also describes the 'calicoctl ipam release' command to release an IP address that was previously assigned to an endpoint.

calicoctl ipam commands
This command allows you t o release an I P address
t hat had been pr eviously assigned t o an endpoint .
When an I P addr ess is r eleased, it becomes
available f or assignment t o any endpoint .
Not e t hat t his does not r emove t he I P f r om any
exist ing endpoint s t hat may be using it , so we
gener ally recommend you use t his command t o
clean up addr esses f rom endpoint s t hat wer e not
cleanly removed f rom Calico.

calicoctl ipam commands
This command can be r un on any Calico node.
Command synt ax:
calicoct l ipam r elease <I P>
<I P>: I P addr ess t o r elease.
