MEDIA MANAGER
Media Manager software provides enhanced functionality
to control and schedule content for distribution across your
enterprise network. The software offers a fully integrated
content management system, enabling the delivery and
management of video, audio and digital media throughout
the corporate LAN.
Media Manager allows you to conveniently ‘drag and drop’
different types of media, including PowerPoint presentations,
live MPEG 2 and H264 streams, SD/HD MPEG files, PNGs,
JPEGs and web pages, onto a media player unit and manage
the output, by creating custom playlists and selection lists.

Media Manager software features a set-up
wizard which auto-detects all MediaStar
hardware and other media sources such as
live TV streams, camera feeds and PC inputs.
It allocates names to all available hardware,
live streams and video files. Media can also
be arranged into genres and media players
into groups.

6. ADMINISTRATION
All your digital media
resources at your fingertips
Import your building floor-plan or campus layout
drawings as a backdrop for the Media Manager
workspace so you can position icons for all your
media players in their locations.
Group your media players to target your live,
pre-recorded media, including RSS news feeds,
to specific areas and departments.
Media Manager applies a colour status to the
media player icon when content or communication
is disrupted, providing live system updates to
support teams and administrators.

7. SCHEDULING
To help you target and schedule your content,
Media Manager lets you create daily, weekly and
calendar playlists. Simply drag the media into
the playlist to schedule the playout sequence
and duration. You can use this feature to aim
your messages at specific audiences.
Media Manager also features selection lists.
These further enhance your system, by allowing
the management of the users’ choice of selectable
media. Media Manager interfaces with third-party
controllers and can be used to trigger many
actions and also respond to external inputs such
as alarm systems.

8. Delivering easy access to
all the media assets held
in your MediaStar system
MEDIA PORTAL
The Media Portal page is a simple web
page made available to user devices via
Cabletime’s MediaStar Media Manager.
Portal pages can contain live streams or
iVOD content, represented as selectable
icons for playback on iOS, Android and
PC platforms. On-screen controls allow
the users to pause, play or seek through
the media as required.
Media Portal allows live video streaming
to unlimited mobile devices. There is
a user-friendly interface, and channel
selections are represented by icons.
It supports live broadcasts and
on-demand audio/video. MediaStar
Portal pages are easily created and
managed in Media Manager.
You can create and name a new Portal page,
drag and drop Live Stream and iVOD content
to the page, then publish it for users to
access from their iOS and Android devices
or PC’s running Internet Explorer.
