CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

1.Valve disc and stem adopt diamond deformed hole connection,which maintain valve
lever original capacity at maximally under without increase the stem diameter of the
premise.
2.In order to eliminate disc displacement cause by valve disc and valve stem‘s dead
load , taking measures as following
2、 With equipping with combination support sleeve to support valve effectively, the
down-stem of disc is step holes structure.
3、 It effectively eliminates friction caused by the self weight of valve disc and stem and
makes up clearance,which is no thrust bearing between stem and end cap
1、 Lines connecting rod connect up-stem with down-stem by combination support
sleeve in the disc making valve disc, up-stem and down-stem as a whole.

1、 Simple design,good interchangeability and low price.
2、 Sealing of the stem is not distorted easily to avoid leakage of stem, and possesses
features such as excellent capacity of supporting, stability, and fastness.
3、 Less rubber dosage of valve seat results low potential affection so that
the torque size can be controlled in a proper scope.
4、 Using the two piece type stem without pin connection,With simple design and
compact structure, it is convenient for worker to maintain and dismantle. The disc
with the function of automatic centering can be matched with the seat perfectly.
5、 The valve seat with phenol aldehyde backset possesses features of break off preventing,
stretch proofing and leak proofing as well as easy changing, etc.

Product Feature
★Adopting light aluminum body, the total weight is very light. This type of valve is applicable for light pipeline,especially
for nonmetal pipeline.
★Using Nylon coating and epoxy coating, having good anti-corrosive ability.
★The sealing ring on the stem can work in two directions, preventing not only the inrush of extraneous material
outside but also the effuse of inside material.
★The valve connection is current with the platen of three-piece type ball valve, so the connection can be inside or
outside screwed thread connection or collar clamp connection. This type of valve also can be used as three-pieces of
flange butterfly valve.
★The inner hole of the stem is coated by nylon, solving the problem that the aluminum hasn't the good anticorrosion ability.
★Tongue and groove seat make sure the body, seat and disc connected exactly, and the seat can be changed
conveniently at the meantime.

★ Groove-and-tongue type seat ensure that the valve body, seat and disc connect accurately. Meantime, it’s
easy to replace seat for users and contribute to prevent deformation of seat from improper installation;
★ The valve body is casted by aluminum alloy,which is easy for installing and is good at anti-corrosion. The valve
services for HAVC system widely;
★ The lower torque realizes light weight and miniaturization,making the cost decrease;
★ The seal surfaces are spherically which no matter on the top or bottom of disk. The torque is much lower than
former products, disk moves easily in order to extent life time;
★ Heat insulation designs prevent heat transferring from pipe to outside environment ;

4、 Stem spacer which locates between upper stem and down stem. It prevents
down stem move upward.
5、 Seat locator is casted together with valve body. It prevents seat from moving. Mid-
plummer-block spliced pole avoids frequent shake of the stem below which may result
the stem divorced from valve body. Gibbosity on valve seat can avoids the possibility
of seat distorted badly and torque increased rapidly, when the valve was installed
improperly; and it also can avoid seat wriggling during the valve is opened and closed,
when there is impurity on the surface of the seat after the valve is used for some time .
6、 Wide mount surface can be adopted by diversity flange types. The flange-
sealing surface of valve seat is the structure of broadside and orthodrome,
which follows the requirement of thimble or welded flange connection, and
also can be connected with many other flanges.
3、 Raised seal surface is combined with disk. Torque is much lower than former product. Life
time is extended. Narrowband seal ring is combined with spherical disc organically, which
make sure that torque will not increase before the disc close up; make sure that service
life of valve seat prolonged by friction decreased and open-close torque reduced, to make
sure that open-close torque will not change in a long time.
2、 Concatenate"O"series seal ring of the seat is enchased in the axle hole of valve
body. The concatenate"O"series sealing ring will dilate out and tangent with valve
body tightly and firmly when the stem insert the disc hole through it. In this way,
when it leaks inside the valve, medium cannot afflux in the room between body
and seat, which may result the accident of the seat locks disc or the seat blowout.
1、 Double plow groove seat can not only make sure that the body, seat and disc
connect correctly, but also ensure that the seat can be changed conveniently,
which is helpful to avoid distorting by installation fault.

★ The valve body can endure high pipe pressure. And it is safer.
★ The whole valve seat is vulcanized on the valve body. This structure is uneasily distorted with the high ability of
drawing resistance and avulsion resistance.
★ The stem of butterfly valve with pins (DN50--1200) is designed to one-piece with the features of counter
bending and simple reliable structure.
★ The butterfly valve with pins(DN50--1200) adopts two-piece stems that are connected by screw connecting rod
clevel, which can efficiently control the displacement aroused by the disc weight. Besides that there is a thrust bearing
in the bottom of the stem. The DN50-350 series of butterfly without pins adopts the compressed connection so that the
structure is simple and compact and the disc can center automatically.

◆ This Signal butterfly valve realized alignment and control flow through the shaft and valve disc rotation that driven
by worm and gear.
◆To rotate worm and gear drive handwheel, making valve disc to achieve the purpose of opening & closing and
controlling flow, clockwise rotation of handwheel for valve closed.
◆ There are two types of micro switch within the worm and gear drive box:
(1)Worm and gear drive box has two micro switch for open direction and close direction, they are respectively
acted while the valve is in fully opening and closing, to connect control room “valve close” indicating power, making it
accurately display valve switch state.
(2)Only setting close direction in the worm and gear drive box ( Fully closed position of valve disc is 0°). While
the valve disc in 0~40°position, the micro switch operated, outputting signal of valve close; While the valve disc in
40~90°position, another pair normally closed contacts can output valve open signal. Can adjustable the CAM which
pressed micro switch, showing the different position of valve disc.The above two types of micro switch was stated in
the sales contract by buyer.

211D ,220D AND 310D is suit to install socket welding type flange,240D,270D/271 is suit to install socket welding type,
welding neck type and flat type of flange ,most of centralize-type butterfly valves will install the valve on the flat type of flange,
the valve installed on the flat type of flange will exist connection problem if not suitable installing ,may be causing leakage
problem.
