Truly great collaboration partnerships don’t happen every day - or even every year. This Arkadin infographic looks at a century of great collaboration stories.
Even on multi-decade timescales, truly earth-shaking collaborations only pop up every decade or two. But when they do, they’re easy to recognise.
They involve big challenges, with the fate of nations and industries at their mercy. Perfect planning, with pin-sharp focus on strategy and strengths leading to extraordinary outcomes, changing the lives of billions.
The partnerships below aren’t the only ones, but they’re among the greatest. Collaborative technology - from transatlantic telegraphs to broadband conferencing and presence - played its role in every one.

Hackathon Presentation to European Commission DG CONNECT in Brussels by Richard Kastelein on November 26, 2013 at "How to foster ICT and web enterprises in Europe: learning from practice". The event was a think tank session to help foster ideas and feedback on the new Startup Manifesto initiative. Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission and her team have created the manifesto for entrepreneurship & innovation to power growth in the EU.

We need to do hackathons at the EU level. Here are my suggestions and presentation.
SUGGESTED RECOMMENDATION FOR FUTURE ACTIONS
Form an EU hackathon task force to utilise this new phenomenon to tackle problems and find solutions – from civic issues to entertainment, health to environment. Blend international cooperation and competition (gamification) to help facilitate innovation.
Possible marketing strategy could also include a partnership with TV production company to shoot reality show or competition-driven format around Hackathon and/or Bootcamp. Long term vision could also include a TV format similar to Eurovision Song Festival with another angle. Eurovation Startup Festival with the best hackers in Europe vying for most innovative country.

If you are interested in flying to the outer space there are only two options, the US Space Shuttle or the Russian Soyuz, and neither of these are available at a reasonable cost or on a regular basis to the general public. The problem is not the lack of financial resources among today's adventure tourists, nor the demand in the marketplace, but specifically the lack of licensed, low-cost, reliable vehicles. Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
