• UrbanClap is one of the fastest growing
startups that provides homecare services
like salon services, repairs of various
electronic gadgets and homecare appliances.
They also provide physical workout and yoga
training services at home. It is now
renamed as UrbanCompany.
• VLCC provides healthcare services to
counter increasing issues of weight gain,
skin care problems and so on.
A brief introduction
• To build an app like UrbanClap with the features like
easy customer registration, multiple payment options,
attractive app design, there are different
technologies and coding languages that can be used.
• Since people access these services mainly through the
apps installed on their phones, the following
technologies help in the application development.
Android Development: Android Studio
IOS Development: Swift
PHP Framework: PHP, CSS3, HTML5,
JavaScript, JQuery
Database: MySQL
Hosting: Amazon Cloud
Development of the UrbanClap App
• The VLCC App also follows the same app
development methods to design the app.
• They mainly focus on catering to the weight
loss concerns of people with easy
registration facilities, interactive app
features and so on.

1. Search Ads
Advertisement are everywhere to redirect you to the stuff where you want.
Google search ads play the same role. If you enter any keyword related to
their website you will see their search ads on the browser.
2. Social media like Fb and Instagram
Almost every internet user is on social media platforms. It’s a best way to
reach out to the audience. Using social media ads on Facebook and Instagram
they try to reach every potential customer they can.
3. Posting videos on platforms like YouTube
Urban Clap posted very heart-touching and relatable videos to grab attention
of audience in relaxing their lifestyle through Urban Clap. In this way they
are also reaching into the audience on YouTube even in their ads.
4. Through social media influencers
Social media influencers have lots of followers who believe in them. Make them
promote their services attracts audience. This way people trust their
services.
Marketing Strategies of UrbanClap
• VLCC wanted to create brand awareness around the winter and
wedding season through experiential and product trial.
However, in today’s competitive personal care beauty products
market where every brand wants to create awareness for their
products, something out of the box needed to be thought of.
• The real challenge was making the high quality products of
the world renowned brand in personal beauty care reach the
target market and popularize it.
• They conduct a rigorous campaign on social media by asking
the customers to post a picture with a hashtag #ShareAGlow.
This resulted in healthy interaction of people on social
media and left close to 50 million digital footprints in just
two months. It even caught the attention of 100+ famous
YouTubers, active Instagrammers, and influential bloggers who
shared their glowing stories on their social media handle.
The stories of these influencers spread throughout their fan
base giving a further boost to the campaign’s success
