This study analyzed nasopharyngeal samples from 407 critically ill children with acute respiratory infections admitted to a pediatric intensive care unit in India over a period of 1 year and 1 month. Multiplex PCR testing detected respiratory viruses in 19.65% of samples, with influenza A H1N1 virus detected in 67.5% of positive cases. The study aimed to report the burden of viral pathogens detected in critically ill children with respiratory infections admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit of a large tertiary care hospital in India.

Introduction: Bronchiolitis is a clinical syndrome that occurs in children <2 years, characterized by upper respiratory symptoms followed by lower respiratory tract infection that results in wheezing and/or crackles and other complications. Its typically caused by a viral infection, among which, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the most common cause. Objective: The aim of this study is to determine whether RSV is the most common cause of acute bronchiolitis in North Lebanon and to determine the most common age, season for RSV bronchiolitis, whether it is more prevalent in preterm patients and whether it is a more serious infection. Our study is the first one conducted in North Lebanon that provides information related to RSV versus non-RSV bronchiolitis.

Throat and nasal swabs were tested using PCR and viruses were detected in 28.57% of cases. RSV was the most commonly detected virus (35% of positive cases) followed by parainfluenza viruses (20% of cases). Mixed viral infections were found in 30% of positive cases. The study found that RSV and rhinovirus were more common in younger children under one year old, while parainfluenza and bocavirus were more common in older children over one year old. Acute viral hepatitis is the most common parenchymal liver disease seen in community. It is a worldwide problem including India. It occurs mainly due to unhygienic practices, unsafe water and poor environmental sanitation. It is common in children there was a need to educate this group focusing on primary prevention. one group pre test and post test design. and non probability convenient sampling technique was used and sample consisted of 30 mothers of school children Data analysis and interpretation was done using inferentional statistics It was observed that the post test mean scores was 78.36 and standard deviation was 20.723 which was significantly higher than the pretest mean value is 33.83 and standard deviation is 20.01 The t test value was 0.198 at P=0.5 level. Thus the findings of the study signify that structured teaching programme was effective in enhancing the knowledge of hepatitis. The researcher concluded that, the present study concluded that structured teaching programme on prevention of viral hepatitis was an effective method for providing moderate to adequate knowledge among school children to enhance their knowledge regarding prevention of viral hepatitis. Methods A pre experimental study was conducted at Chainray Mhaila hospital Haridwar Uttarakhand, Purposive sampling technique was used to select the sample, one group pre test post test design was used for the study to accomplish the objectives. The sample consisted of 62 postnatal mothers. They were chosen by Purposive sampling technique. A structured knowledge questionnaire was used followed by structured teaching programme. Results The study show that in pre test majority in participants 51 82 had average knowledge in post test majority of participant 43 69 had good level of knowledge .on comparing mean post test knowledge score 19.3± 3.86 was more than mean pre test knowledge score 11.6 ± 3.0 which calculated by paired z test 19.83 at p 0.05 level of significance. Aim This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of awareness programs on improving the level of knowledge regarding COVID 19among nursing students in selected nursing colleges from Uttar Pradesh and to find out various factors associated with it. Materials and methods A quantitative research approach with Pre experimental one group pretest and posttest design and Non probability convenient sampling technique was used to select 30 nursing students from selected nursing colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Self structured knowledge questionnaire was used for assessing the knowledge regarding COVID 19among the subjects. SPSS version 25 was used for analyzing the data. Results The knowledge mean score in pre test 9.4±3.7 was lesser than the post test mean score 20.1±4.4, the obtained t value 22.2, p = 0.001. There was an association between nursing students’ levels of knowledge regarding COVID 19 with their previous source of information x2 = 9.6, p=0.04 . Conclusion Awareness program was effective to improve the level of knowledge regarding COVID 19 among nursing students. There are many lessons learned in PEPFAR’s story - from what it took to build a supply chain where there was none, to establishing the use of generic antiretroviral therapies (ARTs) and leveraging human capacity. This event convened the early architects of PEPFAR as well as experts and implementers currently leading the charge. We took a historically informed look at what it will take to stop global transmission, and shared tools useful for others hoping to move the needle on vexing problems in global health.

This study examined the clinical profile of rotavirus gastroenteritis among patients admitted to a tertiary care hospital in India. The study found that rotavirus was detected in 36% of children under 5 years old admitted with acute gastroenteritis. Most rotavirus cases were in infants and children under 3 years old, with the highest number in infants less than 1 year old. Cases were clustered in the first quarter of the year. All children experienced mild symptoms and dehydration and were discharged within a week without complications. The study concludes that rotavirus is a major cause of gastroenteritis requiring hospitalization in young children.

The study aimed to estimate seasonal influenza vaccine effectiveness against laboratory-confirmed influenza in Italy. A total of 2,526 patients presenting with influenza-like illness to participating general practitioners were enrolled. Of those, 1,177 tested positive for influenza and 1,349 tested negative. Background of the study It is essential to educate the mothers properly to make them aware of the care before, during pregnancy and after delivery to prevent complications and reduce the maternal morbidity and mortality rate. Objective This study aim to evaluate the awareness of prevention of puerperal infection among postnatal mothers. Methods A pre experimental study was conducted at Chainray Mhaila hospital Haridwar Uttarakhand, Purposive sampling technique was used to select the sample, one group pre test post test design was used for the study to accomplish the objectives. The sample consisted of 62 postnatal mothers. They were chosen by Purposive sampling technique. A structured knowledge questionnaire was used followed by structured teaching programme. Results The study show that in pre test majority in participants 51 82 had average knowledge in post test majority of participant 43 69 had good level of knowledge .on comparing mean post test knowledge score 19.3± 3.86 was more than mean pre test knowledge score 11.6 ± 3.0 which calculated by paired z test 19.83 at p 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion This study shows that structured teaching programme was effective to enhance the knowledge of postnatal mother regarding prevention of puerperal infection. Aim This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of awareness programs on improving the level of knowledge regarding COVID 19among nursing students in selected nursing colleges from Uttar Pradesh and to find out various factors associated with it. Materials and methods A quantitative research approach with Pre experimental one group pretest and posttest design and Non probability convenient sampling technique was used to select 30 nursing students from selected nursing colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Self structured knowledge questionnaire was used for assessing the knowledge regarding COVID 19among the subjects. SPSS version 25 was used for analyzing the data. Results The knowledge mean score in pre test 9.4±3.7 was lesser than the post test mean score 20.1±4.4, the obtained t value 22.2, p = 0.001. There was an association between nursing students’ levels of knowledge regarding COVID 19 with their previous source of information x2 = 9.6, p=0.04 . Conclusion Awareness program was effective to improve the level of knowledge regarding COVID 19 among nursing students. On October 7, 2019, the Harvard Global Health Institute will host a one-day symposium to explore what enabled this visionary program, and to showcase how it has transformed not just the worldwide HIV/AIDS response but global health delivery more broadly.
There are many lessons learned in PEPFAR’s story - from what it took to build a supply chain where there was none, to establishing the use of generic antiretroviral therapies (ARTs) and leveraging human capacity. This event convened the early architects of PEPFAR as well as experts and implementers currently leading the charge. We took a historically informed look at what it will take to stop global transmission, and shared tools useful for others hoping to move the needle on vexing problems in global health.

This study examined the clinical profile of rotavirus gastroenteritis among patients admitted to a tertiary care hospital in India. The study found that rotavirus was detected in 36% of children under 5 years old admitted with acute gastroenteritis. Most rotavirus cases were in infants and children under 3 years old, with the highest number in infants less than 1 year old. Cases were clustered in the first quarter of the year. All children experienced mild symptoms and dehydration and were discharged within a week without complications. The study concludes that rotavirus is a major cause of gastroenteritis requiring hospitalization in young children.
Respiratory tract infection children-antibiotic use

Overall life span (LS) was 1671.7±1721.6 days and cumulative 5YS reached 62.4%, 10 years – 50.4%, 20 years – 44.6%. 94 LCP lived more than 5 years without cancer (LS=2958.6±1723.6 days), 22 – more than 10 years (LS=5571±1841.8 days). 67 LCP died because of LC (LS=471.9±344 days). AT significantly improved 5YS (68% vs. 53.7%) (P=0.028 by log-rank test). Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).
