Effectiveness of Awareness Program on Knowledge Regarding Covid 19 among Nursing Students

Aim This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of awareness programs on improving the level of knowledge regarding COVID 19among nursing students in selected nursing colleges from Uttar Pradesh and to find out various factors associated with it. Materials and methods A quantitative research approach with Pre experimental one group pretest and posttest design and Non probability convenient sampling technique was used to select 30 nursing students from selected nursing colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Self structured knowledge questionnaire was used for assessing the knowledge regarding COVID 19among the subjects. SPSS version 25 was used for analyzing the data. Results The knowledge mean score in pre test 9.4±3.7 was lesser than the post test mean score 20.1±4.4, the obtained t value 22.2, p = 0.001. There was an association between nursing students’ levels of knowledge regarding COVID 19 with their previous source of information x2 = 9.6, p=0.04 . Conclusion Awareness program was effective to improve the level of knowledge regarding COVID 19 among nursing students. Acceptance of Covid-19 Vaccine Among the People of Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar Distric...
Background: In the midst of the worldwide effort to control the spread of the COVID-19 thru immunization of herd immunity, there is still the doubt about the effectiveness of the vaccine. Thus, the vaccine hesitancy. This is a threat to public health. Knowing and understanding the factors that influence the COVID-19 vaccine acceptance of the community may contribute in creating new and improved strategies for a better comprehensive vaccination program. The objective of this study was to evaluate the frequency of the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccine and their determinants as of April 2021 in the Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar, Libya.
Methods: This is cross-sectional quantitative research was conducted using stratified random sampling while observing strict precautionary measures. In April 2021, guided questionnaires were answered by 2,000 respondents. Sample distribution were as follows: 500 from Al-Bayda, 200 from Shahat,100 from Sussa, 100 from Massah, 100 from Omar Al-Muhktar, 100 from Labraq, Mansoura, Gernada, and Gubbah 170 from Jardes and Marawa, 170 from Faydiya and Gasser Libya, 170 from Haniya and Zawiat Al-Argub, 220 from Werdama, Sidi Abdul Wahad and Hamama, 170 from Gandula and Slanta. Results were validated and analyzed using Minitab version 17.1. Data were presented using texts and tables.
Results: Out of the 2,000 invitees, 956 expressed their willingness to take the vaccine if it is available. Interest in accepting the vaccine is relatively high among 18-25 age group (711), male (781), being married (779), with bachelor’s degree (475), employed by government (878), and with Libyan nationality (951). Upon cross-tabulation using chi-square, results showed that the proportion of the age group 18-25 (X2=870.206,p-value=0.00001), of male (X2=664.153; p-value=0.00001), of being married (X2=967.552; p-value=0.00001), of being a Libyan (X2=65.443; p-value=0.00001), of being a bachelor’s degree (X2=728.872; p-value=0.00001); and of being a government employee (X2=1007.334; p-value=0.00001) were significant factors associated vaccine acceptance. Moreover, respondent’s perception whether the COVID-19 vaccine will help prevent the spread of disease ((X2=1429.099; p-value=0.00001), their trust in the health system of Libya (X2=1327.565; p-value=0.00001), their idea whether the COVID-19 vaccine has a side-effect (X2=992.959; p-value=0.00001), and their fear of the side-effects of the COVID-19 vaccine are also key determinants that predict COVID-19 vaccine acceptance.
Conclusion: Identifying key factors relating to COVID-19 vaccine acceptance may aid in intensifying the global immunization drive. Health education must be reinforced to expedite achieving herd immunity using the social media and proper health education elsewhere.

Criminology Educators Triumphs and Struggles
This document summarizes a research study about the triumphs and struggles of criminology educators in the Philippines. Dysmenorrhea is defined as difficult menstrual flow or painful menstruation. It is an ordinary gynecological problem among adolescent ladies which is severe enough to keep them from functioning at home, college or work place for a day or a two every month. Objective To assess the knowledge and impact of dysmenorrhea among nursing students Material and Method A descriptive study was carried out among 201 nursing students selected by purposive technique at M.M university, ambala Haryana by using structured knowledge questionnaire KR 20= 0.72 and impact rating scale chron a= 0.87 respectively from January 2016 to February 2017. Result Most of students were of 19 to 21 yrs in age and 95 were unmarried. 78.6 received knowledge of dysmenorria from mothers. 100 students experienced dysmenorria in which 87.6 had regular cycle, 51.7 felt intermittent pain. Majority 57.2 have good knowledge regarding dysmenorria and mildly affected by it followed by 41.3 are moderately affected by dysmenorria. age, course of study and marital status are significantly associated with knowledge regarding dysmenorrhea whereas level of pain and measures to relieve dysmenorria is significantly associated with impact of dysmenorrhea. Conclusion Formal, informal and special mass media educational programmes may be taken to educate the girls on dysmenorria and measures to relieve .community health nurse and school health nurse need to concerned about it. The study analyzed data on over 14,500 children from the Millennium Cohort Study. It found that 88.6% of children were immunized with the MMR vaccine, while 5.2% received at least one single antigen vaccine. Children were more likely to be unimmunized if they lived in households with more children or a lone parent, or if their mother was under 20 or over 34 years old. Antimicrobial resistance poses a growing threat to public health, as infections from resistant strains of microbial become increasingly difficult and expensive to treat, resulting in prolonged illness and greater risk of death. A cross-sectional descriptive study was done among 471 higher secondary level students of private schools in Kathmandu Valley. Data were collected from Grade 11 and 12 non-science faculty students through self-administered questionnaires. Half (50.5%) of the students gave correct response by saying that antibiotic kills bacteria and 49.1% said that it is for fever. Majority (93.0%) of them said that it should be taken with water. Regarding the response on when to stop taking antibiotic, 46.9% said correctly by saying when all prescribed medicines are taken whereas and 40.8% said that after feeling better. More than half (58.8%) of the students had not heard about antibiotic resistance, whereas those who have heard among them 24% of students said that they had heard from doctor and nurses and 21.8% from family member and friends. Nearly one-third (32.7%) of students knew that antibiotic resistance occurs using antibiotic when they are not necessary. Regarding the response on consequences of antibiotic resistance, more than one-third (38.2%) of students gave correct answer. Nearly half of the students have lack of knowledge about antibiotic. Thus, it is imperative to create awareness among students by introducing a specific course on antibiotic in the 9th and 10th grade core curriculum to prevent antibiotic resistance and its consequences. Background: Immunization is one of the decisive factors in preventing various life threatening diseases. Vaccines have thrived as one of the most successful healthy intervention on that have diminished the occurrence of various infectious diseases and improved the quality of life in the population. Although the vaccine coverage has been gradually increasing, the average total immunization coverage is far less than desired outcome. Objective: The objective of our study were to enhance the quantity of vaccine delivered in the paediatric care setting, to improve Awareness of vaccination at community level by a more active involvement of clinical pharmacist on vaccination errors and missed opportunities in paediatric care setting, to analyse the extent of knowledge, attitude and practice of parents to minimize vaccination errors and avoid vaccine misconception thereby improving vaccine adherence. Results: It is a prospective observational study was conducted on 253 paediatric subjects upto 3years of age for a period of six months in a secondary care hospital, Hyderabad. The study was divided into Pre- intervention and post-intervention phases and was performed using a KAP questionnaire. The socio- demographic details were collected by using data collection form and their knowledge, Attitude and practice levels were assessed by using KAP questionnaire regarding child vaccination. Out of 253 subjects were enrolled in the study, the percentage distribution of the respondents age showed that the age group of 25-29 were predominant. The respondents with single child were observed to be more with a frequency of 132 out of 253 who received complete awareness about vaccination. Majority of the respondents were under graduates which was the main reason for lack of knowledge on immunization. Of the total 253 study population, male child were 128(50.50%) and female child were 125(49.40%). In the study, the majority of the children were neonates (103) which is 40.71%. majority of children were immunized with polio (75.49%) and least was varicella (3.55%). Of the total population, delayed or missed vaccine was 72 out of 253 i.e. 28.40% which was observed in both the genders. Missed vaccine opportunities were mostly observed for PCV, Rotavirus, and MMR. Conclusion: This study lead to optimal disease prevention through vaccination in multiple population groups while maintaining high levels of Safety and the clinical pharmacist’s interventions certainly will be helpful in providing education on immunization and improving immunization rates in the underdeveloped and developing countries. KAP questionnaire can be used in future researches on immunization and allow for better understanding of relation between mothers knowledge and immunization of children.

This study examined the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to anemia among 508 rural adolescent girls in Odisha, India before and after a planned nutrition education program. The study found that 55% of participants had mild anemia at baseline. Scores for knowledge, attitudes, and practices all improved significantly after the education program, indicating it was effective at positively changing KAP related to anemia. Certain demographic variables like age, family income, and mother's education were also found to influence KAP levels. The results suggest planned nutrition education can help address anemia issues among adolescent girls.
Global HIV cohort studies among IDU and future vaccine trials
The author reviewed data on the global HIV epidemic among injecting drug users (IDUs) and identified potential cohorts of IDUs that could participate in future HIV vaccine trials. High HIV prevalence rates were observed among IDUs in many countries in Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and parts of Africa and North America. Several cohort studies also showed high HIV incidence rates among IDUs in China, Thailand, Canada, and Spain. These findings emphasize the seriousness of the IDU epidemic globally and the potential for IDU cohorts to participate in HIV vaccine trials due to demonstrated high participation and retention rates in past studies.

Stressful life events affects human body, which may lead to cardiovascular diseases and effect metabolism and immune system. Recent studies showed increase in stress levels in developing countries. This study aimed to determine the stress levels in MBBS students. The objectives of the study are a To determine the current stress level, b To assess relation between stress level and lifestyle of college students. The present study was carried out in Ahmedabad City of Gujarat State. A total of 400 medical students were included in the study, which were selected using multi stage sampling aged between 18 years to 25 years. Students were questioned regarding their socioeconomic and life style parameters. The results showed that physical activity such as walking, exercise, yoga, meditation etc. were associated to stress levels. College students showed high stress levels with more satisfaction were mostly smokers. Their major reason for eating junk food and smoking was, increase in stress. Conclusion Majority of students suffered from moderate stress levels. Despite of having stress they were happy and satisfied with life with less no internet addiction. Spirituality and stress scales had a positive correlation as most of the students were averagely highly spiritual. Discriminant function can be used to determine the stress level of a person using age, BMI, internet addiction, spirituality, happiness scale and life satisfaction scale of that person. Jayshree N. Background: Globally, malaria remains a major public health problem. In 2019 an estimated 229 million cases of malaria were reported, WHO African region accounted for 94% of total cases. In Kenya, malaria is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among children under five years living in malaria endemic zones. This study investigated the factors that are associated with malaria prevalence among children under-five years living in North West Kisumu Ward, Kisumu County.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out at Chulaimbo County Hospital from July 2019 to January 2020. Using a validated structured questionnaire, data were obtained from 369 randomly sampled children < 5 years who presented with signs and symptoms of malaria and had malaria positive or negative test results from the laboratory. Children with chronic illnesses such as HIV were not enrolled. Chi-square test of independence and logistic regression analysis was done using SPSS 20.0 software.
Results: Out of 369 participants, 183 (49.6%) tested positive for malaria. Child age was significantly associated with malaria (P = 0.04). There were low malaria odds among females (OR = 0.92, 95% CI 0.61-1.39) and in households where mothers (OR = 0.47, 95% CI 0.16-1.37) or fathers (OR = 0.86, 95% CI 0.31-2.35) had university education. Low malaria risk was also reported among children whose fathers had employment (OR = 0.94, 95% CI 0.49-1.80). On the contrary, high malaria risk was recorded among children whose mothers were employed (OR = 1.24, 95% CI 0.62-2.50). Children from married respondents were likely to test positive for malaria (OR = 1.07, 95% CI 0.60-1.93). Children who used bed nets were less likely to test positive for malaria (OR = 0.70, 95% CI 0.35-1.41). Surprisingly, low malaria risk was reported among severely malnourished children (OR = 0.71, 95% CI 0.42-1.20).
Conclusion: Child age and bed net use, but not nutritional status, are important determinants of malaria prevalence in children under 5 years. The Ministry of Health should promote more efforts towards protecting young children from malaria, by ensuring access and use of bed nets, and enhancing health education.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence of adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) among 78 pediatric HIV patients in Mumbai, India over 18 months. The overall adherence was 82.1% after one year. Non-adherence was significantly associated with the caretaker's education, employment, and knowledge of medications. The most common reason for non-adherence was forgetting to take the medication (37.1% of patients). Adherent patients had significantly higher average CD4 counts after one year compared to their baseline, while non-adherent patients' CD4 counts did not change significantly.

Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study is adapted among 100 general populations. A convenient sampling technique was applied. The demographic data were collected using a structured questionnaire via interview method. The level of stress was measured by the perceived stress scale (PSS) and coping responses was evaluated by the brief cope scale. Result: The study outcomesdisplaysthat 53 (53%) had moderate stress, 28 (28%) had mild stress and 19 (19%) had severe stress during Covid-19. In respect to level of coping strategies among general population, 96% of the participants used planning coping strategy, 93% of them used religion coping strategy followed by 92% used self-distraction coping strategy. This study examined 100 under-5 children with protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) admitted to a hospital in Nigeria to determine the prevalence of HIV infection. The researchers found that 27% of the children with PEM were HIV positive. The highest prevalence of HIV infection was among those with the subtype of PEM known as marasmus (65% prevalence). All of the HIV-positive children were younger than 3 years old and acquired HIV infection from their mothers via mother-to-child transmission. The study highlights the need for increased HIV screening among under-5 children presenting with PEM, especially marasmus, given the high prevalence found.

Antimicrobial resistance poses a growing threat to public health, as infections from resistant strains of microbial become increasingly difficult and expensive to treat, resulting in prolonged illness and greater risk of death. A cross-sectional descriptive study was done among 471 higher secondary level students of private schools in Kathmandu Valley. Data were collected from Grade 11 and 12 non-science faculty students through self-administered questionnaires. Half (50.5%) of the students gave correct response by saying that antibiotic kills bacteria and 49.1% said that it is for fever. Majority (93.0%) of them said that it should be taken with water. Regarding the response on when to stop taking antibiotic, 46.9% said correctly by saying when all prescribed medicines are taken whereas and 40.8% said that after feeling better. More than half (58.8%) of the students had not heard about antibiotic resistance, whereas those who have heard among them 24% of students said that they had heard from doctor and nurses and 21.8% from family member and friends. Nearly one-third (32.7%) of students knew that antibiotic resistance occurs using antibiotic when they are not necessary. Regarding the response on consequences of antibiotic resistance, more than one-third (38.2%) of students gave correct answer. Nearly half of the students have lack of knowledge about antibiotic. Thus, it is imperative to create awareness among students by introducing a specific course on antibiotic in the 9th and 10th grade core curriculum to prevent antibiotic resistance and its consequences. Background: Immunization is one of the decisive factors in preventing various life threatening diseases. Although the vaccine coverage has been gradually increasing, the average total immunization coverage is far less than desired outcome. Objective: The objective of our study were to enhance the quantity of vaccine delivered in the paediatric care setting, to improve Awareness of vaccination at community level by a more active involvement of clinical pharmacist on vaccination errors and missed opportunities in paediatric care setting, to analyse the extent of knowledge, attitude and practice of parents to minimize vaccination errors and avoid vaccine misconception thereby improving vaccine adherence. Results: It is a prospective observational study was conducted on 253 paediatric subjects upto 3years of age for a period of six months in a secondary care hospital, Hyderabad. The study was divided into Pre- intervention and post-intervention phases and was performed using a KAP questionnaire. The socio- demographic details were collected by using data collection form and their knowledge, Attitude and practice levels were assessed by using KAP questionnaire regarding child vaccination. Out of 253 subjects were enrolled in the study, the percentage distribution of the respondents age showed that the age group of 25-29 were predominant. The respondents with single child were observed to be more with a frequency of 132 out of 253 who received complete awareness about vaccination. Majority of the respondents were under graduates which was the main reason for lack of knowledge on immunization. Of the total 253 study population, male child were 128(50.50%) and female child were 125(49.40%). Background: Globally, malaria remains a major public health problem. In 2019 an estimated 229 million cases of malaria were reported, WHO African region accounted for 94% of total cases. In Kenya, malaria is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among children under five years living in malaria endemic zones. This study investigated the factors that are associated with malaria prevalence among children under-five years living in North West Kisumu Ward, Kisumu County.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out at Chulaimbo County Hospital from July 2019 to January 2020. Using a validated structured questionnaire, data were obtained from 369 randomly sampled children < 5 years who presented with signs and symptoms of malaria and had malaria positive or negative test results from the laboratory. Children with chronic illnesses such as HIV were not enrolled. Chi-square test of independence and logistic regression analysis was done using SPSS 20.0 software.
Results: Out of 369 participants, 183 (49.6%) tested positive for malaria. Child age was significantly associated with malaria (P = 0.04). There were low malaria odds among females (OR = 0.92, 95% CI 0.61-1.39) and in households where mothers (OR = 0.47, 95% CI 0.16-1.37) or fathers (OR = 0.86, 95% CI 0.31-2.35) had university education. Low malaria risk was also reported among children whose fathers had employment (OR = 0.94, 95% CI 0.49-1.80). On the contrary, high malaria risk was recorded among children whose mothers were employed (OR = 1.24, 95% CI 0.62-2.50). Children from married respondents were likely to test positive for malaria (OR = 1.07, 95% CI 0.60-1.93). Children who used bed nets were less likely to test positive for malaria (OR = 0.70, 95% CI 0.35-1.41). Surprisingly, low malaria risk was reported among severely malnourished children (OR = 0.71, 95% CI 0.42-1.20).
Conclusion: Child age and bed net use, but not nutritional status, are important determinants of malaria prevalence in children under 5 years. The Ministry of Health should promote more efforts towards protecting young children from malaria, by ensuring access and use of bed nets, and enhancing health education.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence of adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) among 78 pediatric HIV patients in Mumbai, India over 18 months. The overall adherence was 82.1% after one year. Non-adherence was significantly associated with the caretaker's education, employment, and knowledge of medications. The most common reason for non-adherence was forgetting to take the medication (37.1% of patients). Adherent patients had significantly higher average CD4 counts after one year compared to their baseline, while non-adherent patients' CD4 counts did not change significantly.

Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the impact of covid-19 on stress and coping responses among general population. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study is adapted among 100 general populations. A convenient sampling technique was applied. The demographic data were collected using a structured questionnaire via interview method. The level of stress was measured by the perceived stress scale (PSS) and coping responses was evaluated by the brief cope scale. Result: The study outcomesdisplaysthat 53 (53%) had moderate stress, 28 (28%) had mild stress and 19 (19%) had severe stress during Covid-19. In respect to level of coping strategies among general population, 96% of the participants used planning coping strategy, 93% of them used religion coping strategy followed by 92% used self-distraction coping strategy. This study examined 100 under-5 children with protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) admitted to a hospital in Nigeria to determine the prevalence of HIV infection. The researchers found that 27% of the children with PEM were HIV positive. The highest prevalence of HIV infection was among those with the subtype of PEM known as marasmus (65% prevalence). All of the HIV-positive children were younger than 3 years old and acquired HIV infection from their mothers via mother-to-child transmission. The study highlights the need for increased HIV screening among under-5 children presenting with PEM, especially marasmus, given the high prevalence found.

Introduction In 2019, the whole World faced with the great challenges in the health due to the epic outbreak of novel Corona virus. World Health Organization WHO declared the Corona virus as the global health emergency on January 30, 2020. The Covid 19 vaccine are widely created for their role in reducing the spread of Covid 19 and reducing the severity and death caused by Covid 19. People’s perception toward vaccine acceptance have fluctuated with the information flow in various social medias and the severity of COVID 19 cases. This study aimed to assess the level of knowledge and attitude about Covid 19 vaccine among the community people. Methods Quantitative approach with descriptive research design was adopted for the present study. Two hundred 200 adults aged 20 60 years from Angarpada and Mahul residence in Khordha District, Odisha were selected purposively. Adults who gave their consent and were present during the data collection period were included in the study. Pregnant woman and the people have systemic diseases were excluded from the study. The tools used to collect the data were 1. Socio demographic questionnaire, 2. Knowledge questionnaire to assess the Covid 19 vaccination and 3. Attitude scale to assess the attitude on Covid 19 vaccine. The data was analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results Vaccination status of the adults living in the Khordha district shows that 83 of people vaccinated for COVID 19. Level of knowledge on covid19 vaccine shows that more than half of the people 52.5 had poor knowledge. Highest percentage of adults 47.5 had neutral attitude. The mean knowledge score is 10±3.59 and mean attitude score is 92.38±6.54. There was a very weak positive correlation r = 0.176, p = 0.096 found between the knowledge and attitude. Conclusion The study results indicates that most of the community people are having adequate knowledge and having neutral attitude towards the Covid 19 vaccination. The most recent outbreak of the highly infectious acute respiratory syndrome SARS CoV 2 has grappled the world. Human behavior and awareness assessment during this crisis is crucial in an effort to contain the pandemic. Objectives We conducted this study to assess evaluation of awareness, attitude, prevention, expectations, and precautionary measures against COVID 19 among the university students in Odisha. Methods This is a comprehensive cross sectional study that was conducted as an online survey using an online self completed questionnaire. The participants were students enrolled in different universities in Odisha. The questionnaires were divided into four main sections general health knowledge, sterilisation, prevention, and precautionary measures on COVID19. Results Most of the students 85.8 believed that consuming antibiotics is not useful, 75.9 considered that washing hands with normal water is helpful and 61.8 believed drinking a hot drink will help prevent COVID 19. Where 54.7 of participants followed the world health organization as the primary sources of information and 27.4 of the participants used social media to obtain information about SARS CoV 2. Most of the participants 99 agreed that self isolation and maintaining distance can decrease the spread of COVID 19. The majority of the respondents had sufficient knowledge and their attitude and perception towards Covid 19 preventive measures was satisfactory. Conclusion Odisha Universities students demonstrated an expected level of awareness about the COVID 19 virus and implemented effective strategies to prevent its spread. Outbreak of novel coronavirus diseases COVID 19 is a global health emergency, it has spread over more than 150 countries. In present situation preventive measures is main key to prevent the transmissions. An electronic cross sectional survey was conducted to assess the knowledge and create awareness among selected rural community. Structure questionnaire was created in the Google Forms, link was generated and distributed among peoples through their email and WhatsApp to participate in the survey. A total 103 subject was enrolled through convenient sampling technique. Collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Results of the study shows that majority 95.1 of participant had adequate information regarding the prevention of COVID 19, among that 55.3 were got the information from multimedia included television, radio, newspaper and 21.4 from the internet. Most 56.3 of the participants had adequate knowledge, 25.2 participants had moderately adequate and in 18.5 participants had inadequate knowledge regarding prevention of COVID 19. Study concluded that in most of the participants had adequate knowledge but it is not satisfactory because adequate knowledge is very essential among each and every member of the community and have to implement it into practice. Anxiety is natural response to any stressful situation. Pandemic can trigger the level of stress and anxiety among people. Present study attempted to assess the level of anxiety among adult in the Indian population during COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. On line survey was conducted with structured questionnaire, a total of 374 responses were received. Non-probability snowball sampling was adopted to collect the data. The anxiety level identified in this study was moderate to mild level. More than 58% had mild level of anxiety and 14% had severe anxiety. 28% of them expressed moderate amount of anxiety. AIM The present study aims to assess the post covid home quarantine stress level in second wave among general population in selected community at SMCH. METHODS AND MATERIALS A descriptive research design was used for the present study. A total 50 samples were collected using non probability purposive sampling technique. The demographic variable and level of stress was assessed using structured questioner, followed by that data was gathered and analyzed. RESULTS the results the study revealed that there is a significant association between level of stress and demographic variable among the general population at the level of p 0.01 conclusion Thus, the present despites that factors associated with level of stress and demographic variable among general population. Objective To assess the knowledge, attitude and practice toward coronavirus disease COVID 19 Background The World Health Organization declared COVID 19 as a pandemic on the 11th of March 2020 and declared as a global health emergency. Since then, many efforts are being carried out to control the rapid spread of the ongoing COVID 19 epidemic in India. The control measures COVID 19 is affected by their knowledge, attitudes, and practices KAP towards COVID 19. Knowledge attitude and practice of people should be directed towards strict preventive practices in order to prevents the spread of the virus. Materials and Methods The aim of the current electronic cross sectional study is to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice among selected rural community. Structured questionnaire was created in the google forms, the link was generated and distributed among the people though email and other media to participate in the survey. A total 153 subject was enrolled through convenient sampling technique. Collected data was analysed using descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Results Majority of participant 91.50 were having the adequate information regarding the covid 19 and most of participants, 52.28 were got the information from multimedia included television, radio and newspaper regarding COVID 19. About 52.28 participants were the aware about the online training program by the government .Among 153 participants, 115 had adequate knowledge, 23 had moderately adequate and 15 had inadequate knowledge. Most 75.16 of the participants had adequate knowledge, in 15.03 moderately adequate and in 9.80 inadequate knowledge found regarding prevention of COVID 19. The mean knowledge score was 15.54 with standard deviation of 2.93. Most of the 102 66.66 had most favourable attitude, 31 20.26 had favourable and 20 13.07 had unfavourable attitude . The mean attitude score was 34.76 with standard deviation of 2.86.Majority of the participants, 129 had good practice, 20 had average practice and 4 had bad practice . Most 84.31 of the participants had good practice, in 13.07 average practice and in 2.61 bad practice found regarding prevention of COVID 19. The mean practice score was 25.2 with standard deviation of 2.56. Acute viral hepatitis is the most common parenchymal liver disease seen in community. It is a worldwide problem including India. It occurs mainly due to unhygienic practices, unsafe water and poor environmental sanitation. It is common in children there was a need to educate this group focusing on primary prevention. one group pre test and post test design. and non probability convenient sampling technique was used and sample consisted of 30 mothers of school children Data analysis and interpretation was done using inferentional statistics It was observed that the post test mean scores was 78.36 and standard deviation was 20.723 which was significantly higher than the pretest mean value is 33.83 and standard deviation is 20.01 The t test value was 0.198 at P=0.5 level. Thus the findings of the study signify that structured teaching programme was effective in enhancing the knowledge of hepatitis. The researcher concluded that, the present study concluded that structured teaching programme on prevention of viral hepatitis was an effective method for providing moderate to adequate knowledge among school children to enhance their knowledge regarding prevention of viral hepatitis. Nursing students’ pandemic perceptions are unclear. This Study examined how nursing students felt, thought, and acted during the COVID 19 pandemic. This qualitative research included 51 first year nursing students from COVID 19 stricken university. As the pandemic dragged on, student nurses reported feeling fear and anxiety. They initially liked this situation due to the constraints during the pandemic process, but they became bored due to the monotony of extraordinary days and come to appreciate every moment before the pandemic. The students also argued the virus had united humanity and ended wars. Fights, and attempts to dominate. This study found that nursing students utilize unhealthy coping mechanisms such poor time management due to family obligations and excessive media use. first aid management of epilepsy in school children
Objective To assess the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge regarding first aid management of epilepsy in school children among teachers. Materials and methods A quantitative research approach with Pre Experimental one group pretest and post test design was used to conduct the study in selected schools of Greater Noida. Non probability purposive sampling technique was employed to select 30 school teachers. A self structured knowledge questionnaire containing 26 items were used for assessing the level of knowledge among the subjects. Data were analyzed using SPSS. Results The mean knowledge score of the school teachers in pretest 14.03±4.514 is lesser than the mean knowledge score of school teachers in post test 18.23±3.848, t value 2.045 which is significant P = 0.05.There was an association found between the score level with their previous source of information. Conclusion The study is concluded that planned teaching programme was effective to enhance knowledge among school teachers regarding first aid management of epilepsy. Assessment of burnout in healthcare professionals amid COVID-19 | IJB 2021
According to WHO latest by April 2nd 2020, it has now become a global threat and also it has become a serious issue in Pakistan with increasing number of active cases every day. Physicians, consultants, paramedics and other staff working in hospitals are at risk due to the emergence of COVID-19 which also is responsible for severe burnout which effects job performance, job satisfaction, interpersonal relationships, and vulnerability to illnesses. This research aims at finding the burnout in healthcare professionals of Karachi, Pakistan due to the current situation of COV-19 pandemic. We carried out a cross-sectional study in the tertiary care hospitals of Karachi, Pakistan from Feb’2020 – Apr’ 2020 in which the questionnaire based on Malsch burnout inventory were distributed amongst the healthcare professionals including doctors and paramedics, working in the departments of emergency, COVID special units and others. A scoring system of 1-4 was applied (strongly disagree-strongly agree). The results showed that highest burnout was faced by healthcare professionals in the category of depersonalization and personal accomplishment amid Covid-19 while the association between the burnout and the demographic factors mentioned was also found to be significant. The challenges faced by the healthcare professionals because this pandemic showed lack of presence of personal protective equipment and fear to spread infection to be as the biggest challenges. The study concluded that the current pandemic situation of COVID-19 has particularly associated with the burnout and stress amongst our health care professionals who are working on the frontline.

Background and Objective Telehealth has become a well known tool for the delivery of health care in Saudi Arabia, and the perspective and knowledge of healthcare providers are influential in the implementation, adoption and advancement of the method. This systematic review was conducted to examine the current literature base regarding telehealth and the related healthcare professional perspective and knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods This systematic review was conducted by searching 7 databases including, MEDLINE, CINHAL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and ProQuest Central. Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. Its collection of concerned experts different personal attitudes and expertise would help enhance telehealths implementation in Saudi Arabia, develop its healthcare delivery alternative, and eliminate frequent problems. Online Voices, Offline Impact Ambedkars Ideals and Socio Political Inclusion ...
This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. So corporate disclosure through annual reports plays a vital role in the life of all the companies and provides valuable information to investors. The basic objectives of corporate disclosure is to give a true and fair view of companies to the parties related either directly or indirectly like owner, government, creditors, shareholders etc. in the companies act, provisions have been made about mandatory and voluntary disclosure. The IT sector in India is rapidly growing, the trend to invest in the IT sector is rising and employment opportunities in IT sectors are also increasing. Therefore the IT sector is expected to have fair, full and adequate disclosure of all information. Unfair and incomplete disclosure may adversely affect the entire economy. The Impact of Educational Background and Professional Training on Human Right...
This study investigated the impact of educational background and professional training on human rights awareness among secondary school teachers in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, India. The key findings reveal that higher levels of education, particularly a master’s degree, and fields of study related to education, humanities, or social sciences are associated with greater human rights awareness among teachers. Additionally, both pre service teacher training and in service professional development programs focused on human rights education significantly enhance teacher’s knowledge, skills, and competencies in promoting human rights principles in their classrooms. The Role of Mentoring and Its Influence on the Effectiveness of the Teaching ...
This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. Design Simulation and Hardware Construction of an Arduino Microcontroller Bas...
This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. Sudan is witnessing an acceleration in the processes of development and transformation in the performance of government institutions to raise the productivity and investment efficiency of the government sector. Materials & methods: A quantitative research approach with Pre- experimental one group pretest and posttest design and Non-probability convenient sampling technique was used to select 30 nursing students from selected nursing colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Self-structured knowledge questionnaire was used for assessing the knowledge regarding COVID- 19among the subjects. SPSS version 25 was used for analyzing the data. Results: The knowledge mean score in pre-test 9.4±3.7 was lesser than the post-test mean score 20.1±4.4, the obtained t- value 22.2, p =0.001.Therewas an association between nursing students’ levels of knowledge regarding COVID-19 with their previous source of information (x2 = 9.6, p=0.04). Conclusion: Awareness program was effective to improve the level of knowledge regarding COVID-19 among nursing students. COVID-19is aninfectious diseasecausedby a newly discovered coronavirus.Coronavirus (COVID-19)is spread by human-to-human transmission through droplet, feco-oral, and direct contact and it has 2-14 days of incubation period. The first cases reported in India on 29th January 2020. Coronavirus Disease 2019 also known as COVID-19isa quickly escalating pandemic causedbyanovel humancoronavirus (SARS-COV-2) formerly knownas2019- nCov. The disease is extremely infectious, and its main clinical symptoms include fever, dry cough, lethargy, dyspnea and myalgia. Worldwide coronavirus cases extending to almost 9 million populations, among this 3746048 were active and 471040 deaths. In India the confirmed cases recorded till June 22 is 426140 people among them 175064 were active and 13707 died. In Uttar Pradesh 17731 confirmed cases among them 6186 were active and 550 deaths. At present, India becomes the 4th most affected country with COVID-19. The speedy and wide-ranging spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has become a foremost reasonofapprehensionfor the healthcare profession mainly nursing profession. Thisis the main reason the current study analyzed the knowledge among nursing students regarding COVID-19. Objectives of this study were to determine the effectiveness of awareness programs on knowledge regardingCOVID-19amongnursing students in selected nursing colleges from UttarPradeshand to find the association of various factors with the level of knowledge. Objectives: - 1. To assess the existing level of knowledge regarding COVID-19 among nursing students before the intervention 2. To determine the effectiveness of awareness program on knowledge regarding COVID-19 among nursing students by comparing pretest and posttest 3. To find out the association between knowledge regarding COVID-19among nursing students with their selected socio-demographic variables Hypotheses: - H0 : There will be no significant difference betweenthepre and post intervention level of knowledge regarding COVID-19 among nursing students H1 : There will be a significant difference between the pre and post intervention level of knowledge regarding COVID-19 among nursing students H0 : There will be no significant association between the selected demographic variables withthepretestlevelof knowledge regarding COVID-19 among nursing students H2 : There will be a significant association between the selected demographic variables withthepretestlevelof knowledge regarding COVID-19 among nursing students IJTSRD37913

International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (IJTSRD) @ www.ijtsrd.com eISSN: 2456-6470 @ IJTSRD | Unique Paper ID – IJTSRD37913 | Volume – 5 | Issue – 1 | November-December 2020 Page 337 MATERIAL AND METHOD Research approach & design: - Quantitative approachwith Pre experimental one group pretest posttest design Setting of the study: - The study was conducted in Hind College of Nursing, Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh Study Population: - GNM and B.Sc. nursing students Sample size: - 30 Sampling technique: - Non-probability convenient sampling technique Inclusion criteria: - 1. The nursing students who are willing to participate in the study. 2. The nursing students who are available during the time of data collection. 3. Nursing students who are in the age group of 18-23 years Exclusion criteria: - 1. The nursing students who are not available at the time of data collection. 2. Nursing students who previously undergone awareness program regarding COVID-19 Tool: The research tool for data collection consists oftwosections: Section 1: - Demographic tool It consists of Age, Gender, Education, Place of residence, Type of family and Source of previous information Section 2: - Self-structured knowledge questionnaire It consists of 30 items for assessing knowledge among nursing students regarding COVID-19. Every item was of multiple-choice types with one correct answer carrying 1- mark remaining options 0 marks. The minimum score 0 and maximum score was 30. The scores were graded as 0-10 inadequate knowledge, 11-20 moderate knowledge and 21- 30 adequate knowledge. Content validity of the tool was determined by experts in the field of Nursing. The reliability of the knowledge questionnaires was tested by using spearman brown split halfmethod and scorewasfoundtobe r = 0.77. The tool was prepared in English and Hindi to facilitate better comprehension. Interventional module awareness program was prepared based on the review of literature which consists of areas such as introduction, definition, causes, clinical manifestation, and prevention of COVID-19. Data collection procedure Pre-test was followed by the administration of awareness program (1 hour per day) for the next 5 consecutive days. After one week of intervention, a post-test wasconductedby using the same questionnaire, data collected was tabulated and analyzed with the help of descriptive and inferential statistics. Statistical analysis SPSS 25 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, India) wasused for Statistical analysis andP = 0.05was considered as the level of significance. Source of previous information No information 10 33.3 Family members & Friends 5 16.7 Teachers 6 20 Mass media 6 20 Medical persons 3 10 Table 1 shows that frequency and percentage distribution of demographic variables, the majority of the nursing students 63.3% % were in the age group of 18- 20years, 70% were female, 56.7% were GNM nursing students, 46.7% were staying at hostel, 53.3% belonged to a nuclear family, 33.3% had no any previous source of information.

It is inferred that there is a significant difference in pretest and posttest knowledge score regarding COVID-19among nursing students. So, awareness programis effective to improve the level of knowledgeregarding COVID-19 among nursing students. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an association between nursing students’ levels of knowledge regarding COVID-19 with their previous source of information CONCLUSION Interventional module awareness program was effective to improve the level of knowledge regarding COVID-19among nursing students. This study also noticed that there is an association between nursing students’ levels of knowledge regarding COVID-19 with their previous source of information. The study is limited to nursing students who were studying 1st year GNM and B.Sc. and also in selected nursing colleges in Uttar Pradesh, India. There is a robust need to implement educationaland awareness programson COVID-19 infection control practices and other updates of COVID-19 across all healthcare professions including nursing students.
