Casting and forging plants
Conception and engineering
Since 1917, Manoir Industries has always based its growth on quality service and on highly innovative strategies.
Thanks to its skilled and experienced teams, as well as its strong investments, Manoir supplies its customers with
forged and cast technical components from conception to delivery of raw or ready-to-assemble machined parts.
Manoir Industries has been developing and manufacturing a large range of high and low temperature and corrosion-
resistant alloys for strength and reliability satisfying the most demanding casting markets such as oil & gas, chemical,
petrochemical, paper, steel and defense… In its closed-die and open-die workshops, Manoir processes all alloy types
including steel, carbon, stainless steel, aluminum and titanium for the oil & gas, civil engineering, energy, aerospace,
defense and marine markets.
Manoir Industries plants dedicated to forging and casting have well-equipped
facilities and offer heat treatment, welding, machining and integrated inspections.
Manoir is your preferred technical partner in manufacturing parts of all sizes and
various morphologies.
Successful and up-to-date equipment are key factors to better serve our
markets. The design department intervenes at the conception phase with
CAD tools (Catia, Autocad…) and numerical simulation (Procast) software to
model the melting and cooling of cast components. Similar processes are used in
forging plants to simulate the shaping of alloys during the forging operation.
4. Reliable and proven services

Tooling equipment meet Manoir customer
requirements
For the production of steel parts moulded by static casting or centrifugation, Manoir Pîtres has electric arc furnaces from
10 t to 15 t, induction furnaces from 100 kg to 1.5 t, and AOD converters from 8 t to 27 t.
Having automated, semi-automated and hand casting workshops for a large weight range of 1kg to 12 t, Manoir Pîtres
centrifuge, tubes of up to 1,600 mm in diameter with its shell park.
Our closed-die and extrusion workshops are well-equipped with hammers, and hydraulic and mechanical presses dedicated
to the production of steel parts of up to 1,500 kg. The open-die forging plant has hydraulic presses and a ring rolling mill
(2.5 m diameter rings) to forge components with a maximum final weight of 7 t in steel or light alloys.
Each Manoir plant has state-of-the-art tooling equipment to transform alloys, some of them
complex because of their mechanical or chemical properties. Towers, milling equipment,
numerical boring devices, machining centers meet Manoir customer requirements for rough
shapes or ready-to-assemble machined parts.
5. Quality inspections
Manoir Industries laboratories are equipped with all the necessary and
up-to-date control means to characterize metallurgical, mechanical and
physical properties of its manufactured components with tests for: tensile
strength, impact, Jominy, creep, spectrometry, and corrosion including
micro and macrography tests…
Throughout the manufacturing process, parts are checked to ensure the
perfect conformity of customer specifications. Manoir is equipped with
all non-destructive control equipment: dimensional, magnetoscopic,
gammagraphic (Gamma sources, cobalt, iridium) with a linear accelerator,
by ultrasonic and by liquid penetrant tests…
Each Manoir Industries quality assurance department rigorously guarantees
the performance and the reliability of its processes.
All Manoir Industries plants are ISO-certified 9001 version
2008, and for the two forging plants, Lloyds, ABS, and
for Custines open-die forging plant EN 9100 version 2009
(for the aerospace market). Manoir Pîtres is qualified Norsok,
Lloyds, ABS, NKK, KGS.
