ISO 31000 provides guidelines for managing risk and was developed by ISO's technical committee on risk management. It aims to help organizations effectively identify and mitigate risks to enhance their likelihood of achieving objectives. The 2018 revision of ISO 31000 places greater emphasis on strategic guidance, senior management involvement, and integrating risk management into an organization's processes and activities. It focuses on value creation and continuous improvement as key risk management principles.

The document discusses ISO 31000, the international standard for risk management. It provides 3 key points:
1. ISO 31000 provides principles and guidelines for risk management. It seeks to define what risk management involves and how it should be implemented.
2. ISO 31000 describes a framework for implementing risk management rather than detailing how to design the supporting framework within an organization. An organization needs to describe its own risk architecture, strategy, and protocols.
3. ISO 31000's risk management principles should be an integral part of organizational processes, explicitly address uncertainty, and be capable of continual improvement. Mandate and commitment from top management are needed to successfully implement risk management.

Risk management is an increasingly important
business driver and stakeholders have become
much more concerned about risk. Risk may be a
driver of strategic decisions, it may be a cause of
uncertainty in the organisation or it may simply be
embedded in the activities of the organisation. An
enterprise-wide approach to risk management
enables an organisation to consider the potential
impact of all types of risks on all processes,
activities, stakeholders, products and services.
Implementing a comprehensive approach will
result in an organisation benefiting from what is
often referred to as the ‘upside of risk’.

ISO 31000 provides a robust framework for enterprise risk management that can be applied to organizations of any size or sector. It increases the likelihood of achieving risk management objectives and improving identification of opportunities and threats. For Intuit, ISO 31000 is recommended over PM2 Risk Scorecard because it meets Intuit's needs for flexibility, rigorous risk assessment, and alignment with strategic goals through continuous measurement of key performance indicators.
I need response to the discussion post in 200 words.docxsdfghj21
ISO 31000 would be the best framework for Intuit to implement for their enterprise risk management strategy. It provides robust, globally recognized guidelines and principles that can be applied regardless of organization size or sector. ISO 31000 also aligns well with Intuit's goals of continuous risk assessment, clear accountability, and quantitative performance measurement. While PM2 Risk Scorecard is a powerful tool, it is very complex and difficult to implement across all levels of an organization. ISO 31000 allows for flexible implementation and risk ownership by all employees.

What is risk? Why are organizations concerned with it?
Whether it is driving, taking a shower or just going at the grocery store, everyone exposes themselves to risk. Organizations face internal and external risks that endanger the possibility of achieving their goals and objectives. As the world becomes more unpredictable, the concept of risk has turned into a major concern to professionals of different industries. According to ISO 31000, risk is the effect of uncertainty on objectives. In addition, risk management is the process of identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing risks. The goal of risk management is to manage risks before they affect the organization.

[OReilly Superstream] Occupy the Space: A grassroots guide to engineering (an...Jason Yip
The typical problem in product engineering is not bad strategy, so much as “no strategy”. This leads to confusion, lack of motivation, and incoherent action. The next time you look for a strategy and find an empty space, instead of waiting for it to be filled, I will show you how to fill it in yourself. If you’re wrong, it forces a correction. If you’re right, it helps create focus. I’ll share how I’ve approached this in the past, both what works and lessons for what didn’t work so well.
Conversational agents, or chatbots, are increasingly used to access all sorts of services using natural language. While open-domain chatbots - like ChatGPT - can converse on any topic, task-oriented chatbots - the focus of this paper - are designed for specific tasks, like booking a flight, obtaining customer support, or setting an appointment. Like any other software, task-oriented chatbots need to be properly tested, usually by defining and executing test scenarios (i.e., sequences of user-chatbot interactions). However, there is currently a lack of methods to quantify the completeness and strength of such test scenarios, which can lead to low-quality tests, and hence to buggy chatbots.
To fill this gap, we propose adapting mutation testing (MuT) for task-oriented chatbots. To this end, we introduce a set of mutation operators that emulate faults in chatbot designs, an architecture that enables MuT on chatbots built using heterogeneous technologies, and a practical realisation as an Eclipse plugin. Moreover, we evaluate the applicability, effectiveness and efficiency of our approach on open-source chatbots, with promising results.

In the realm of cybersecurity, offensive security practices act as a critical shield. By simulating real-world attacks in a controlled environment, these techniques expose vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them. This proactive approach allows manufacturers to identify and fix weaknesses, significantly enhancing system security.
This presentation delves into the development of a system designed to mimic Galileo's Open Service signal using software-defined radio (SDR) technology. We'll begin with a foundational overview of both Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and the intricacies of digital signal processing.
The presentation culminates in a live demonstration. We'll showcase the manipulation of Galileo's Open Service pilot signal, simulating an attack on various software and hardware systems. zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.

Alex Dali
President of G31000
2013 - INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ISO 31000 - TORONTO, CANADA
Dear Risk professionals,
Understand how ISO 31000 is changing the global risk management
community, learn how to embed the standard into your risk management
program and explore the latest developments in risk management and
management systems for standards.
G31000 is proud to present the programme of the second International
conference on the ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard, offering the highest
quality educational and networking experience available for risk professionals.
The rise of the ISO 31000 risk management standard worldwide is changing the
risk management landscape beyond compliance towards improved
performance and better decision-making.
Adopted in more than 40 countries as the national risk management standard
and translated in at least 23 languages, ISO 31000 is now internationally
recognized as guidance for managing any type of risk, for any organisation not
specific to any industry or sector.
At last year’s first international conference on the ISO 31000 Risk Management
Standard, we explained why and how every risk management program should
be aligned with the principles, framework and risk management process
outlined in ISO 31000. This year, we will focus on two aspects: the growing
importance of risk management standardization and how to embed ISO 31000
into your organisation’s day-to-day decision making process.
The conference brings together some of the most successful, resourceful and
innovative risk professionals using ISO 31000. During working and educational
sessions, you will have the opportunity to meet and learn from experts in ISO
31000, risk managers, CEOs, CFOs and officers.
Given the high demand for training and certification on ISO 31000, we also give
you the chance to attend post-conference master classes and get trained by
the best experts in ISO 31000.
We look forward to welcoming you in Toronto!
Yours sincerely,
Alex Dali, MBA, ARM
President

DO YOU KNOW THE ISO 31000 RISK MANAGEMENT STANDARD?
2013 - INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ISO 31000 - TORONTO, CANADA
Is your present risk management programme aligned with the principles, the framework and the
process outlined in ISO 31000? Are you sure that your consulting advisors are recommending a

This highly knowledge-based two-day conference explores how ISO 31000 can be incorporated
into your existing risk management practices. It will help attendees to develop a practical tailored
action plan for their own business or those of their clients.
Presenters will show how line managers, auditors and risk managers can use ISO 31000 as a catalyst
