• Sexism
• Alcoholism
• Violence
• Lighting
• Less Know Actors
• Modern V’s Traditional
• Different Cultures
• Location
• Sexism- attitudes or behavior based on traditional stereotypes of sexual roles. The
stereotypical thing of a women is to be at home looking after the family and the man should
be out earning enough money to keep the family stable.
• Violence- behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or
something. Violence is used in many films today such a crime, drugs or underage pregnancy
as they happen everyday. Violence is seen in the film green street.
• Alcohol- Alcohol is a drug that is used for enjoyment. Alcohol is drunk and abused nearly
everyday this is also shown in the film green street.
• Lighting- in British film they set the scene with dull dark colours to create a mood, this also
enables the audience to know that they are watching a British film set in Britian.
• British Actors- Any British film will always have less known actors or actresses in their
films this is because they have a smaller budget and would not be able to pay for the famous
Hollywood stars.
Green Street – Violence
• Location- Green Streets main scenes are located in a British street.
• Modern V’s Traditional- Today this is very normal and is likely to happen to have big gangs who
are football hooligans were as in the old days this would not be normal.
• Different Cultures- There is a mixture of cultures in the film. This is because today we live
in a multicultural society where as many years back everyone would be white British.
