Joseph Goebbels controlled Nazi propaganda using various media to promote the party's ideology. He utilized government posters, airplanes to transport Hitler, and mass rallies to spread Nazi messages. Goebbels believed that a lie repeated often enough would be believed, so the Nazi government censored dissent by controlling newspapers, radio, films, books, plays, music and sports to maintain their version of events. The 1936 Berlin Olympics were used to showcase German strength and efficiency under Nazi rule.

Jews and other minorities who did not meet this standard, such as Romani people, Slavs, homosexuals and disabled people, suffered terrible persecution and discrimination under Nazi rule. This culminated in the Holocaust, in which approximately 6 million Jews and 5 million others were murdered in Nazi concentration camps, through means such as gas chambers and death marches. They believed the Aryan race was superior and imposed increasingly severe legal discrimination and economic sanctions on Jews from 1933-1939. After 1939, Jews were segregated into ghettos and concentration camps, where mobile killing units called Einsatzgruppen systematically murdered them. The "Final Solution" began in 1941, which was the Nazi plan to exterminate all European Jews in gas chambers and death camps like Auschwitz as the ultimate way to solve what they called the "Jewish question".

Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions.
