Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-nomad-web-101-skip-the-mistakes-and-get-on-the-fast-track/
Nomad Web is HCL’s answer for the future of Notes/Domino. It is a (mostly) new client, built on a new and promising technology stack (WebAssembly). But: New tech brings new challenges. Many of the ways you used to solve common operational challenges for Notes no longer apply or need to be rethought.
Your priority is to find ways to minimize productivity loss and support tickets such a big change will undoubtedly bring. You need to train users, optimize the client and user experience, and deal with new technical challenges you face by living inside a browser. This means you need in-depth knowledge of this new client and the platform it runs on – all of which is new, in constant flux, and there’s not too many online resources to be found and learned from. Altogether an enormous task. To top it off, there’s some fundamental challenges such as running Nomad on Citrix (without reinstalling and wiping their settings every time a user logs in). But don’t despair: We can help!
In this webinar, HCL Ambassador and rock star Christoph Adler will provide you leading edge insights and lessons learned from working with Nomad Web from before the first public beta.
Learn how Nomad works, how users experience it in their daily work, what to be careful about, what to look for when problems occur, and how to handle common operational scenarios. Skip a few months of struggling by yourself and instead start into the new world with a solid foundation.

Your HCL Nomad Configuration On All Your Devices - MarvelClient Roaming is Herepanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/your-hcl-nomad-configuration-on-all-your-devices-marvelclient-roaming-is-here/
HCL Nomad is a modern client where users expect a modern app experience. They don’t want to go looking for their applications or re-configure their settings all the time. Everything should just stay in sync. MarvelClient Roaming automatically keeps your HCL Nomad configuration accessible across all your devices.
Real-world scenarios with mobile and browsers are a nightmare. Nomad on phones and tablets will get deleted and re-installed to try and fix problems. People lose their devices and get new ones. In browsers it is even worse because there’s no visible app; it just is hidden deep in the cache. Reset a cache or open Nomad on a new browser, and you are back to a blank slate. BYOD just multiplies these issues.
You know this and understand that HCL Nomad configuration can be a hard problem. But your users just expect Nomad to behave like all the other modern apps and it is very likely that they blame you if it doesn’t.
MarvelClient Roaming solves this challenge. It enables you to automatically back up, restore, and share configurations (desktop, recent apps, settings, and more) among devices using Nomad. It uploads configurations to your Domino servers whenever they are changed, and then transparently updates any current and new devices used by the same person, with a tiny network and processing footprint. All your devices – one seamless experience.
Join in this webinar on November 10 to discover how MarvelClient Roaming empowers you to provide a modern, continuous user experience for HCL Nomad – anywhere, anytime.
What you will learn:
- Understand how MarvelClient Roaming will improve HCL Nomad usability,
- See how you can easily set up HCL Nomad configurations for all your devices,
- Learn best practices that make life easier for you (and your users),
- Discover multiple MarvelClient Roaming tools for a modern, continuous user experience.

#dnug47online - The easy way to manage HCL NomadChristoph Adler
Aufzeichnung: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-nomad-web-schnellstart-fur-einen-reibungslosen-erfolg/
Lernen Sie:
- Was beim Erststart von Nomad Web passiert (langsam, CPU-Last)

Abstract: Mussten Sie in Ihrem Unternehmen kurzfristig Änderungen vornehmen, um Ihren Mitarbeitern Telearbeit zu ermöglichen?

Unleash the Power of Video Communication - Office 365 Video vs. Azure Media S...Gina Montgomery, V-TSP
Is your organization considering the power of Video Communication? Microsoft provides two options that can assist your organization in Video Communication. The first, robust and fully customizable option, Azure Media Services, allows you to deliver any media, on virtually any device, with the power of the Azure cloud. Microsoft also provides an out-of-the box video portal solution in Office 365 that is built on Azure Media Services and SharePoint Online. Come learn features and benefits of each.
Public sector customers can now leverage Amazon WorkSpaces; a fully managed desktop computing service in the cloud. With a few clicks in the AWS Management Console, customers can provision a high-quality cloud desktop experience for any number of users at a cost that is highly competitive with traditional desktops and half the cost of most virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
Bringing AI to the edge: On-premise Azure Cognitive Services Luis Beltran
Azure Cognitive Services allow developers to build powerful AI-based solutions, enabling different capabilities in our software: vision. speech, search, text analytics, language understanding, and much more. Basically, the model is already built by Microsoft, you just need to do an API call to the Azure cloud and the service retrieves a result. For instance, you send a message and the Text Analytics API returns its sentiment score.
However, there might be cases in which our customers need a local, non-cloud AI solution (either because of limited Internet access or data compliance). This is now possible thanks to the latest update of Azure Cognitive Services, which offers containerization support. Using containers, we can still deliver ML-driven solutions while keeping the data in-house.
In this talk, we'll explore what it takes to configure and use containers in Azure Cognitive Services. Demos will be showcased as well for local Face and Text Cognitive Services.
This presentation provides an introduction to Azure DocumentDB. Topics include elastic scale, global distribution and guaranteed low latencies (with SLAs) - all in a managed document store that you can query using SQL and Javascript. We also review common scenarios and advanced Data Sciences scenarios.
How to design the architecture and processes for the application which needs to process protected and personal data? This presentation is based on a real-life project, implemented in Xebia. Presented on AWS Community Day NL in Utrecht, NL. 20.09.2023.
In today's rapidly evolving tech landscape, data privacy is one of the most critical issues that businesses face. I'd like to share with you my insights on the principles and best practices for ensuring the resilience and security of your workload.
Drawing on a real-life project from the HR industry, I will demonstrate how we tackled the challenges of data protection, self-healing, business continuity, security, and transparency of data processing. Through our solutions, we were able to create a secure AWS cloud infrastructure that not only met strict compliance rules but also exceeded our client's expectations.

Why Teams call analytics are critical to your entire businesspanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/why-teams-call-analytics-is-critical-to-your-entire-business
Nothing is as frustrating and noticeable as being in an important call and being unable to see or hear the other person. Not surprising then, that issues with Teams calls are among the most common problems users call their helpdesk for. Having in depth insight into everything relevant going on at the user’s device, local network, ISP and Microsoft itself during the call is crucial for good Microsoft Teams Call quality support. To ensure a quick and adequate solution and to ensure your users get the most out of their Microsoft 365.
But did you know that ‘bad calls’ are also an excellent indicator of other problems arising? Precisely because it is so noticeable!? Like the canary in the mine, bad calls can be early indicators of problems. Problems that might otherwise not have been noticed for a while but can have a big impact on productivity and satisfaction.
Join this session by Christoph Adler to learn how true Microsoft Teams call quality analytics helped other organizations troubleshoot bad calls and identify and fix problems that impacted Teams calls or the use of Microsoft365 in general.
See what it can do to keep your users happy and productive!
In this session we will cover
- Why CQD data alone is not enough to troubleshoot call problems
- The importance of attributing call problems to the right call participant
- What call quality analytics can do to help you quickly find, fix-, and prevent problems
- Why having retrospective detailed insights matters
- Real life examples of how others have used Microsoft Teams call quality monitoring to problem shoot problems with their ISP, network, device health and more.

Title: Navigating HCL Notes 14 Upgrades: A Comprehensive Guide for Conquering Challenges
Abstract:
In this session Christoph Adler will guide you systematically through the intricate process of mastering every challenge encountered in an HCL Notes 14 Upgrade project. Numerous changes from 32 to 64-bit architecture necessitate careful consideration and resolution within the upgrade package itself. This includes tasks such as uninstallation (incl. nice.exe in 32- and 64-bit), cleanup procedures (addressing old program and shareddata folders and more), migration the data folder and the very important notes.ini file, and meticulous installation practices (sorting order, command lines, parsing logs, etc.).
The session will also delve into pre-configuration essentials for new users, covering elements like the common folder, stub notes.ini, config file and others to ensure a seamless onboarding process. Emphasizing the impact of changes in bitness and folder locations in Notes 14, the discussion will explore considerations for Anti-Virus, DEP, AppBlocker and Security Software, highlighting their potential as game-changers for end-user performance.
Having thoroughly examined the aforementioned aspects, the session will conclude with an objective and candid comparison of various Notes upgrade methods, enabling participants to make informed decisions tailored to their specific project requirements.
Why device, WIFI, and ISP insights are crucial to supporting remote Microsoft...panagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/why-device-wifi-and-isp-insights-are-crucial-to-supporting-remote-microsoft-365-users/
In an era dominated by users working remotely from home or other different settings, understanding the intricacies of the user’s “last mile” – with what device, what peripheral equipment and HOW they connect to the office network or Microsoft 365 services – is critical for optimizing user experiences. Knowing that it’s the CPU being overloaded when your CEO is having trouble during that important Teams Call or that the accountant’s failure to connect to his files is caused by his home router, and not Microsoft 365 is crucial. In this webinar Christoph Adler delves into the significance of comprehending the entire remote user journey and the impact device health, local/home/remote networking have on the users experience and quality of service. Join us to learn how User Experience monitoring can help you be more effective and successful in supporting remote workers.
In this session we will talk about
- How device Health and what’s going on on the remote devices directly influences user experience and overall productivity.
- What you should know about the impact that diverse home networks, bandwidth, latency, network stability and ISP can have on successful remote connectivity.
- The importance of the User’s Context: Understand why, with cloud, the only way to truly say anything about a user’s experience is if it’s done from the exact user context and location.
- Real-life examples of Impactful Insights: Explore real-world examples showcasing the need for hardware replacements based on user requirements, efficient software/driver installations, and the challenges posed by high volatility in local/home/remote networks and environments.
Why you need monitoring to keep your Microsoft 365 journey successfulpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/why-you-need-monitoring-to-keep-your-microsoft-365-journey-successful/
"Why should you even care about end-to-end monitoring and User Experience Monitoring?” Spoiler alert, you should!
In a world where Microsoft 365 and hybrid/remote work are becoming the norm, not the exception, you should be able to support your users end-to-end. Wherever they are and at whatever time. But with services in the cloud and users constantly moving around between home / remote networks as well as company-controlled infrastructure, traditional methods often struggle. Leaving out important factors that can impact your user’s ‘journey’ and giving you false or incomplete pictures of what’s really going on.
Join this 30min session by Christop Adler with real-life examples to learn more about what User Experience end-to-end monitoring really is, why it’s not the same as what traditional monitoring solutions offer and, most importantly, why it matters and what you should expect from it.
In this session we will talk about
- Traditional monitoring techniques vs modern
- ‘Expected normal’ vs industry benchmark monitoring.
- How User Experience Monitoring can help ensure quality of service, lift user satisfaction and drive productivity.
- Why other companies who started using it, can’t do without anymore.

HCL Notes und Nomad Fehlerbehebung für Dummiespanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-und-nomad-fehlerbehebung-fur-dummies/
HCL Notes and Nomad Troubleshooting for Dummiespanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-and-nomad-troubleshooting-for-dummies/
The number of systems IT and support have to handle is growing faster and faster, while headcounts in those departments struggle to keep pace. This means less and less time to deal with any single system (like Notes), which leads to reduced operational efficiency. On top of that, newer personnel is often also unfamiliar with the HCL stack.
Come and join Christoph Adler on April 18 who will condense their whopping 20+ years of field experience with HCL Notes and Nomad troubleshooting into a single webinar. Get an eye-opening boost in knowledge and skills – whether you are an inquiring beginner or a seasoned admin. Benefit from real uses cases we encountered in the wild to learn how you can quickly and easily deal with many common situations and find out what to do if you can’t solve it on your own.
What you will learn
- Learn how to react fast and what to do when things go wrong with Notes or Nomad, and how to isolate and/or reproduce the issue.
- Understand where to look for information (logs, NSDs, etc.), how to easily collect it, and how to interpret what you find.
- Accelerate time to resolution when escalating to HCL support by having all the right things in hand from the start.
The CEO is Having MS Teams Call Quality Issues! Now What?panagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/the-ceo-having-ms-teams-call-quality-issues-now-what/
If your organization relies on Microsoft Teams for all your calls and meetings, then it is critical for your MS Teams call quality to be consistent and reliable, especially for executives. Why? Because you don’t want that Monday morning meeting with your CIO complaining he was contacted by someone in the C-Suite about Microsoft Teams performance issues that STILL haven’t been fixed.
So how do you quickly troubleshoot reported issues with MS Teams call quality? You need all the detailed telemetry data, and the performance metrics for the endpoint devices and networks, brought together into a single-pane-of-glass where you can analyze them and find the root cause. And you need that data from the end-user perspective, not some bot running on a virtual machine in your corporate office. Traditional monitoring and network management tools are no longer effective in today’s ‘Work-from-Anywhere’ environment. They leave too many blind spots for performance troubleshooting, especially for employees working remotely.
Join us for this webinar where you will receive an introduction to OfficeExpert, a next-level Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) solution. This SaaS product provides end-to-end visibility to measure the performance of Microsoft Teams from endpoint devices. It brings all the information to your fingertips in a single interface for analysis. If you want to know the truth about your employees’ digital experience, quickly fix the issues reported by executives, and proactively help those users suffering in silence, you need a modernized DEM solution like OfficeExpert. It’s the best way to quickly address issues with MS Teams call quality.
What you will learn
- Fast troubleshooting for MS Teams call quality issues
- Real-time performance monitoring for Teams calls and meetings
- Monitoring endpoint device health (CPU, memory usage, background processes, etc.)
- Spotlight slow ISPs causing poor performance and more.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
