The WIAA will no longer use Athletix to manage varsity schedules, official rankings, and tournament availability beginning in the 2015-2016 season. Instead, the WIAA will develop their own internal system to perform these functions. Officials will need to enter their varsity schedules and tournament availability into the new WIAA website system, while coaches will use the system to rank officials. Complete instructions for the new system will be provided before the start of the upcoming season. Athletix will still be used for regular season assigning.

A crew of football officials from the MCSOA donated money to support a fundraising event for a Kiel High School freshman student-athlete, Nick Schad, who had been diagnosed with cancer. The MCSOA has been offering scholarships for 10 years, raising $7,600 and awarding scholarships to 35 student athletes from Manitowoc County schools. This year there were 31 applicants from the 8 county schools. The scholarship committee selected 4 recipients, each receiving a $250 scholarship, based on their academic achievement, community service, and participation in high school sports. The recipients were recognized for their leadership, work ethic, and future goals.

Athletix.us is transitioning to take over referee scheduling and management duties from RefRanking.com throughout Wisconsin. Athletix uses improved technology to provide officials with a better user experience, especially for scheduling. Officials can more easily manage their schedules and availability on Athletix across multiple devices. During the transition period, officials should continue updating their schedules on both Athletix and RefRanking until the full transition is complete.
