Union Activities Council is a group at Emporia State University that allows students to get involved. As the
vicechair of Public Relations, my job was to assist and promote all the events put on by UAC. To do this I

the events coming, as well as uploading past events’ success.

The internship for liberal arts and science required me to write news releases for upcoming events. It also
allowed me to have deadlines for certain news releases. Making sure the Emporia States website had up to
date pictures, font sizes, and corrected any errors from the past, was also part of my job description.

Homecare is taking care of the elderly at their home. Assist them in cleaning, cooking, and communicating
all day with my clients. Working for this company I had to come out of my comfort zone. Givingclients
showers and helping them use the restroom. This company requires patience, communication, and care.
