If you’re going to do it,
Then be the best at it . . .
Skills management needs to be conducted as an “ongoing process,”
with individuals assessing and updating their recorded skill sets
regularly. As the pace of change accelerates and diverse technologies
converge, new global industries are being created and the need for skills
development increases.

About BrainBench
BrainBench, an online certification and learning center (used by NASA and many
Fortune100 companies), is an increasingly respected credential. Their progressive
approach to certification is taking a firm hold on the business community. They
offer a way for companies to screen and test the abilities of potential and current
employees with a wide range of skills assessments testing.
Overall, with its credibility, affordable prices, and great exams, BrainBench is
worth considering as a standalone certification as well as a training resource.A
Global leader in online skills measurement with more than 3.9 million registered
users and over 600 different skill assessments, BrainBench pioneered online skills
testing to measure the skills of employees that are crucial to a company's bottom-
line success. Job-rolecertifications require that candidates pass multiple tests,
some of which address general skill sets and others of which address specific
software applications and technologies. The job-role certifications are made up of
both required tests and electives, thus allowing candidates to focus on those skill
sets and software applications and technologies they are most likely to use on the
job, reducing training costs.
All of their skills assessments are web-based, eliminating configuration
management and geographical issues from the start, thus decreasing costs and
doing business effectively and efficiently. ETS (the EducationalTesting Service)
which does the SAT and other standardized tests is a good model here. They have
a growing number of large companies and government agencies using their tests.
BrainBench exams serves as an indicator that individuals could successfully pass
other industry certifications.
Only about 40% of all examinees pass the exams and only about 5% of all
examinees earn a Master Certification.
How to interpret BrainBench Test Scores
Scores range from 1-5 with 5 being the highest in the BrainBench scoringsystem. Withinthat range,
BrainBench recognizes two levels of achievement for standard assessments. Ascore between 2.75 –
3.99 earns the test taker the standard certificationwhile a score of 4.0 or higher certifies amaster
level of achievement.
Scores range from 1 to 5 and are divided into the followingproficiencylevel categories:
