This document provides guidance for designing an assessment sheet to evaluate students' performance of a cartwheel in PE class. It recommends that the assessment sheet include criteria to evaluate students' balance, poise, placement, alignment and control during the cartwheel. It also suggests that the assessment sheet use correct terminology, have a clear layout, accurate grammar, and correct spelling so that anyone can fairly grade a student's cartwheel using the sheet. An example assessment sheet is provided that evaluates six aspects of performing a cartwheel.
