1. Interpreting the Brief
• I am working for the NHS as part of their “Better Health” Campaign. This
campaign has been launched to encourage families with young children to eat
better, and to support families to find a simple solution to maintain a healthierdiet.
The campaign follows a record rise in obesity among the children since the start of
the pandemic. I have been asked to produce a positive response to one of the
themes raised in the Better Health Campaign that will appeal to a new audience.
The primary target audience is for young people from the ages 16-20. The aim is to
raise awareness and encourage young people to get involved and improve health
and wellbeing as a result.
My initial thoughts on the project is that what were being asked to create is for a
good cause and will be able to help others in the community. The selected target
audience is important because young adults aged 16-20 will be encouraged to get
involved in improving their health and wellbeing by exercising and doing a
selection of activities. The past NHS campaigns havent focused on this target
audience before so there is now a gap in the market for something different. I know
that I tend to struggle with my time management and organisation skills so to help,
a schedule will need to be made for myself so that I know what I need to focus on for
specific days instead of working out what needs to be done on random days.
