2. Learning Styles
I used to believe in learning styles until I had EDN 203 and we learned that they were
a myth. However, this TED Talk put that in perspective. Every student can learn by
anyway it just depends how you can teach it. I feel like I disagree with the question for
this blog about the learning styles. I feel like students may have a way that they like to
learn but it depends on how a teacher wants to teach it. Students can learn by anyway
that they want to. Even though we have ALWAYS been taught that each student has
their own learning style, which is a myth.

3. Research
 I feel like teachers can use research as well as things that are not researched. I
don’t know that much about this topic but after reading the articles it seems that
teachers feel it is unnecessary to just use research based material. In the article the
lady talks about how she wish she would have spent less time worrying about the
research and more about making sure the material was learned and came alive in
her classroom. Its more important to make sure that the students are learning and
engaging in what you are teaching. So therefore no research doesn’t matter. Even
both articles talks about how it is a false thing in teaching.

4. Agree or Disagree?
 I agree with Landrum & McDuffie (2010) article, “It is wise to individualize
instruction. Differentiation provides one framework for individualizing in the
context of a heterogeneous classroom. Focusing on students’ learning styles adds
little, if anything, of educational benefit to this process” I think it is very important
that students learn in the best way for them. Each student learns in a different way
and its important that each of them learn. It is important that every student learns
in the best way for them and not in one way in which they may not understand.
So, in reality in order to have a classroom that is taught correct would be to make
sure that every student learns in the best way for them.
