 The Blindside is a film drama that was released in 2009.
 When watching The Blindside we don’t see the opening clip first we hear a sound
bridge.
 The sound bridge is a voice of a woman and we automatically think that she is the
narrator and the main protagonist. This shows that because she is the narrator we
will be seeing the film through her perspective which is a feature of drama films.
 As she is a narrator I have noticed that she interlinks American football and
domestic lifestyle.
 This is because she refers to the quarterback as being the most important person on
the pitch and the left tackler is the person that looks after him and protects him the
same way a father puts food on the table and the mother is there to care for him.
 During the film we see the real footage which has been filtered into the film.
 This is a way to show the past of what’s happened which can makes it easier for the
audience to relate to the main character.
 Also it makes it more realistic in the sense that we see footage that’s already been
shown.
 One reason why people go out to watch films is because they find it easier to relate
to which means they can sort of put themselves in the characters shoes and
sympathises with him.
 Enigma code is used in the beginning this is because we see a match that is
happening and we are left wondering what that has got to do with the blindside.
 Later on in the opening we get further information but we are still not introduced to
our main character and when we do we find him walking up a round and think why?
 We then get a flashback and from then on we find that this drama is an emotional
film which will have a sort slow flow.
