2. BUDDY MOVIES
What is a buddy movie? A Buddy movie is a sub
genre of the genre comedy and involves two main
characters who are usually best friends, or enemy’s
who are forced to join up and later become best
friends. Good film examples of this are “Starsky and
Hutch” “21 jump street” and “Lethal Weapon”.
3. WHY I LIKE BUDDY MOVIES
I like buddy movies because of the chemistry that is shown
between the two main characters because they work so well
together. Also you can sort of link this with you and your best friend
in the sense of always having their back having a good time
together.
With Buddy Movies it usually links with Action comedy because with
most buddy films it’s two do with two cops and with this they have
to work together to defeat the bad guys so we expect explosions a
cool bad guy and humours comedy between the two main
characters.
4. ACTIVE SPECTATORSHIP
This when the audience already kind of know what to expect
from the film. Active spectatorship visuals are films that follow a
non-linear narrative.
5. PREFERRED READINGS
This is how the director wants to see his film through the eyes of his
audience, this is so the director can see if the audience will get
what the director is trying to do.
6. FANDOM READINGS
This means a group of fans who have the similar taste in for
example film sports celebrities etc. With Fandom readings you
can find blogs etc. that keep up to date with their similar
interests.
8. PRE AND POST-VIEWING EXPERIENCES
Pre-viewing is the experience before they watch the film and
post viewing is the experience after watching the film.
