In 2004, X's CEO instructed the company's employees to build the world's best
_____(7) devices before its competitors could. X used the codename Fiona for the
device. The first generation of this device, launched in November 2007, was sold in 5.5
hours. The device featured a technology that simulated ink on paper by using electricity
to shift black and white particles inside the screen. It revolutionized browsing and
other leisure activities. X named the device Y aptly.
Working Y in good condition can be sold, traded, donated or recycled in the aftermarket.
Due to some devices being limited to use as ______(7) device and the hassle of
reselling it, some people choose to donate their devices to schools, developing
countries, literacy organizations, or charities. "The Y Classroom Project" promotes
_______(7) by distributing donated Y to schools in need.

7. Question 2
On the night of 15th October 1991, the University of Utah's cosmic ray detector Fly's
Eye II detected a proton with an energy of 320 exa electron volts (EeV; 10^18 eV),
travelling at near light speed. Initially, researchers were shocked by the detection,
disclosing it only in 1993 after being convinced of its authenticity. Its energy exceeded
the Greisen-Zatsepin-Kuzmin limit, a theoretical energy limit for cosmic ray protons,
venturing into our galaxy from the intergalactic medium(about 50 EeV). Furthermore, a
collision between this proton and a nitrogen nucleus would produce an energy 200 times
higher than the highest collision energy at the Large Hadron Collider.
Considering the astounding properties of the cosmic particle, it was nicknamed with an
appropriate colloquial expression as "X" particle, sharing a term with the nickname of
another particle Y.
Identify X and Y.
9. Question 3
Taken from ancient Gaelic languages, where X is a professional storyteller, verse-maker,
music composer, oral historian and genealogist, and many other things. Usually X was
employed by a patron to commemorate their ancestor’s or patron’s own activities.
Reflecting on this personal and creative nature of X, a technology was developed under
the codename “Atlas” and was finally named as X.
ID X and the company which has developed it.

13. Question 5
X is an antiparasitic drug. After its discovery in 1975, its first uses were in veterinary
medicine to prevent and treat heartworm and acariasis.
Although it was approved for human use, to treat common parasite illnesses such as
head lice and scabies, it gained popularity a few years ago for a completely wrong
reason.
Despite being intended for a different type of parasite, its use for that purpose was not
advised. However, misinformation about X continued to spread on social media, and the
drug remained popular among a specific group of people, although leading to adverse
health effects.
Identify X, and the surrounding misinformation.

The MedSec cybersecurity startup team asserts that they utilized a debugging
backdoor in the St. Jude-built unit, allowing them to remotely issue commands to X.
After reverse-engineering the software, written in Java, and connecting a laptop to the
unit via Ethernet, the team wirelessly transmitted instructions to people's devices using
a software-defined radio kit. However, they acknowledged that, in their tests, the X's
maximum range was restricted to seven feet, requiring an attacker to be in close
proximity.

17. Question 7
In November 2010, the Air Force Research Laboratory developed a high-performance
supercomputer known as the "Condor Cluster." It was created by connecting 1,760 X
devices, along with 168 GPUs and 84 coordinating servers, in a parallel array. This
configuration allowed the Condor Cluster to perform 500 trillion floating-point
operations per second (500 TFLOPS). At the time of its construction, the Condor Cluster
ranked as the 33rd largest supercomputer globally. It was primarily used for analyzing
high-definition satellite imagery. Notably, the Condor Cluster achieved this impressive
computing power while costing only one-tenth of a traditional supercomputer.
This was due to the X being priced low, although in its field it was considered
overpriced, it was cheap considering it's processing power. This was mainly due to the
CELL chip which was developed by IBM, Sony and Toshiba together in a development
partnership.

19. Question 8
The things that really change the world, according to chaos theory, are the tiny things. A
small movement of “X” in amazonian jungle can subsequently form storm which
ravages half of europe.
So based on this NASA leverages the "X" effect to guide spacecraft. Launched in 1978,
the International Cometary Explorer became the first spacecraft to intercept a comet,
passing through the tail of comet Giacobini-Zinner and collecting valuable data. They
harnessed chaotic systems, calculating that just a tiny bit of fuel, used at an exact
moment, would zip the craft at high speed to the right place at the right time and it
worked perfectly.

In the 1990s, Mick Pearce, a Zimbabwean architect was assigned the task of
designing a building called the Eastgate Centre at the country's capital Harare,
boasting a 350,000 square feet space of office and shops. However, the climate of
Harare requires buildings to be air-conditioning year-round, thus incurring heavy
costs. Interestingly, it used materials with high thermal conductivity, enabling the
building to store and release heat gained from its surroundings. This process is
facilitated by fans that operate on a cycle timed to enhance heat storage during the
warm daytime and heat release during the cool nighttime, while pushing out the
internal heat generated through its large open spaces.

"One morning I was shopping in Amsterdam with my young fiancée, and tired, we sat
down on the café terrace to drink a cup of coffee and I was just thinking about
whether I could do this, As I said, it was a twenty-minute short invention. In fact, it
was published in '59, three years later. I designed it without pencil and paper. I
learned later that one of the advantages of designing without pencil and paper is that
you are almost forced to avoid all avoidable complexities. Eventually, that algorithm
became to my great amazement, one of the cornerstones of my fame." said the

Kemball-Cook,a graduate of Loughborough university, when he was doing a placement
year at the energy company Eon, he was asked to find a way to power street lights with
solar energy and wind, which didn’t workout . Later on he set up a company in 2009 but it
took several years to develop the technology and convince people to take it on. His first
installation was unorthodox, to say the least. Investors weren’t interested to invest, so he
broke into a building site on the south bank of the Thames at 2am, installed the product
illegally, took photos and kept them in his website saying: ‘Celebrating our latest
installation.’ He closed a deal with Westfield pretty soon after that.Since then, he has
worked with brands such as Coca-Cola and Siemens and also helped footballers of favela
in Rio, by helping them with spotlights so that play can continue after dark.
What was the technology he came up with?

When unrelated species live in similar environments, they tend to evolve similar
characteristics. One very common example of this is X. The many species of Xs we
know of in fact came from five different unrelated species that have evolved to look
very similar.
Scientists still debate what caused these species to develop similar traits. Some say
the lack of a tail makes them harder to catch. Others argue the flat, rounded shell
would make it easier to protect the soft body, and allow faster movement. Having
eyes on stalks could also allow them to see predators approaching from far away. And
then there are some that believe that God just really likes Xs.

1874, was based on the following principle: “Traders with a company listed in
the commercial register can inform the appropriate court of the marks that they
place on the products themselves or on their packaging for the purpose of
differentiating their products from those of other traders.” Robert, who was
founder of the company, also registered his first trademark, the “burning
magnet,” on March 3, 1899, which he then applied to every magneto ignition
device that left his factory. This was not the company’s only trademark,
however.
