Jade Upton took over a local flower shop in Shildon, County Durham after only one year of floristry training. She had been working occasionally in the shop when she learned the owner wanted to sell. Jade saw this as too good of an opportunity to pass up and decided to purchase the shop herself. The Be Enterprising program provided Jade with valuable business opening advice and a £1,000 grant that allowed her to rebrand the shop under her new name Lily Lloyd Flower Shop. With their support, Jade was able to successfully launch her own floristry business and hopes to take on a part-time employee soon to continue growing the shop.
