Bitch The poem Bitch is about an inner voice of a lady when she meets up with a man. It is about all the crazy thoughts that run through her head. However, that cannot be voiced out as they will show who she is. In the end, she chooses not to say a thing about them and lets them stay inside so as to keep her cool. While the poem’s satire reigns supreme within the poem, it also vital to note that it is a well formed type of self-directed feminist satire. The poem does not have the repetition of words so as to show the importance of that message. The first repetition happens in line 8 where she says ‘where are your manners I say as I say’ the words ‘i say as I say’ are repeated to show the importance of what she meant. We can also see another repetition of words in line 15 where she says “fine, is just fine,” The other thing used in the poem is the use of rhyming words. In the last three lines the use of “gag and drag” the two words have a different meaning but the same rhyme. This is one aspect that poets use to express themselves in writing. The use rhyming word makes the poem musical and more interesting to the reader. The song also uses the second person idea where there are two people in one speaking. The second person is just a thought of the first person but in the poem, she is more voiced than the first person. I can say the use of the word bitch to describe the second person is rhetorical. The poem is not just about the rhyming words and repeated words but more of the emotional person in a lady when they meet a person of the past as an ex-lover. There are the things that go through their mind but cannot be said. That is the bitch that is talked about in the poem. .
