Birthday party Invitation

It was David’s 13th
birthday. To celebrate the occasion his
parents decide to hold a party and invitations were sent
out to David’s friends.
The party was to be held at 6.00 pm, but by a quarter to
six all the children had arrived. Every child who came
was neatly dressed and each carried a present.
David, the birthday boy, was dressed in smart light blue
shorts, a clean crisp white shirt and a dark blue tie. To match his
clothes he wore a pair of new black shining leather shoes and a pair of black
socks.
Cakes, drinks, fruit, sandwiches, sweets and ice – cream were served to the
children, who, of course, are with great relish.
After ten the children took part in games and the winners were awarded prizes.
When the party came to an end, all the children went home happy but tired. The
happiest of the lot was David. He was pleased because his parents had not
forgotten his birthday and because he had had the chance to invite his friends to
celebrate with him.
