9. New business development and market launch
Designing a strategy to launch a new product successfully and then
market it with maximum returns is a critical task of senior management.
It is especially important for Life Science and healthcare companies
and academics that lack the resources and experience to fully develop
and launch an innovative product/service in the emerging markets of
South Eastern Europe. The latter are characterized by regulatory
volatility and sociopolitical complexities.
BioProsperity provides expertise in commercialization scenarios that

Exploitation and Market evaluation
WP Leader : BIOPROSPERITY (M31-M42)
1. Assessment of the expected socio-economic impact of
the knowledge and the generated technology.
2. Detailed market study and evaluation of market potential.
3. New business models to demonstrate project s
feasibility and market potential.
4. Methodology and strategy for a proper management of
the generated knowledge and intellectual property
protection.
5. Identification of socio-economical, technical and legal
barriers at European level that could limit the
exploitation.

23
24. Key points to be addressed
The viability of the microorganisms in the coating, how they
will act and how long they will be viable needs to be
considered in more depth.
An important part of Milestone M1 must already be known and
WP3 seems late starting since it is a key one.
An additional testing location belonging to a colder region of
Europe should be also selected, as more representative for
the European climate.
The proposal should add business plan elements to
demonstrate the feasibility and market potential.
Barriers that could limit the exploitation should be
identified
