Scope
Power View is used to discover new insights with a highly interactive, familiar, browser-based data
exploration, visualization, and presentation tool for Client BI Tool for Excel 2013.
You can find out how to enable Power View in Microsoft Excel 2013 by reading this article.
Enabling Add-Ins
The first time you insert a Power View sheet, Excel asks you to enable the Power View add-in.
Click Enable.
Or, include it in the add-in as,
Click on File from Excel 2013
Select Excel Options
Click Add-Ins from Excel Options
Select Com Add-Ins from Manage drop down [see the image down]
Click Go
Select Power View Addin and click ok [see picture]

The Power View icon will appear in the Excel Ribbon bar, as shown in the picture.
Enabling Silverlight
Power View requires Silverlight, so the first time, if you don’t have Silverlight:
Click Install Silverlight.
After you have followed the steps for installing Silverlight, in Excel click Reload.
Power View needs data to work with - Message
If the Power View Field List has the message Power View needs data to work with:

1. Go back to the sheet that has data in your workbook and select the range of cells containing
data.
2. Insert tab > Power View again.
You have the option to create another Power View sheet or add the data to the sheet you already
created.
Now you are ready to use powerful Client BI Tool called Power View in Excel 2013.
