CRITICISM AND ITS IMPACTS.
The IFSA 2013 or Islamic Financial Service Act 2013 came into effect on 31 June 2013 after it was approved by a Parliament. Basically The it repeals the Islamic Banking Act 1983 (BAFIA) and the Takaful Act 1984 (TA) and combines the Islamic financial and takaful services under the aforementioned acts in a similar fashion. Means that those two Acts are no longer use nowadays.

Islamic microfinance is a rapidly growing market that provides financial services based on Islamic principles to millions of disadvantaged people. It avoids interest and instead uses profit- and risk-sharing models. Three examples show it is becoming more important for fighting rural poverty: in Sudan, Islamic microfinance helped over 36,000 members with loans as small as $130; in Syria, "village funds" financed through murabaha contracts benefited over 6,600 members; and in Bosnia, musharaka and ijara loans supported a leading meat company and rural jobs. Islamic microfinance models share risks, profits, and have fixed repayments, making them more favorable and accessible to vulnerable groups.
Doing Business of Public Deposit in India
For a very long time, many companies especially in semi-urban and rural areas are accepting deposits in their firm’s name and also promising two to three times returns in two to four years without taking any legal permissions. These schemes are running on the false promise of doling out high returns to the gullible investors. To prevent all fraudulent/ ponzi schemes, the Government of India had introduced- “Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes & Protection of Depositor’s Bill 2018”.
There are several regulated public deposit companies which can be legally operated such as Collective Investment Schemes, Nidhi Companies, Multi-state Credit Co-operative Societies, NBFCs etc. and can be engaged in collection of public deposit.
