• CHAIN ID is the first blockchain-based joint authentication
service in the world and is the first commercialized service
• Theloop’s proprietary blockchain solution is applied to the
authentication system of financial investment industry in
order to replace current government authentication system
• SAMSUNG PASS needed a technology partner who can ensure
high-security and bring clients from the finance sector
• The CHAIN ID authentication system will be used in next
Samsung mobile devices and other various financial services

7. U-COIN
• The goal of the U-Coin project is to enable blockchain to be
used in real life by applying the technology to the Simple
Payment system of South Korea
• The U-Coin project has created a transparent currency/
payment system that is not restricted by any regulatory
environment
• U-coin is a payment solution on mobile app and digital
vending machine provided to various franchises. It is a digital
currency pegged to Korea Won
• The currency system can be applied to any payment/ money
transfer service based on blockchain

• Since the early days of the blockchain technology, many
ideas about the application of the blockchain on insurance
industry have been derived
• By connecting hospital-insurer on a blockchain, the patient’s
medical records are shared with the insurer upon customer’s
approval, and the customer is able to receive the insurance
payment without the insurance claim process
• Pilot test of the service was carried out by cooperation of
Kyobo Life-theloop and a digital medical record service
provider (funded by KISA)
• The service is expected to be expanded to other life insurers
