As a member of the adjunct faculty of the College of Communication at Boston University, I met
Michael Beucler when he was a student in my Managing Corporate Crisis class. He quickly
established himself as one of the enthusiastic and hardworking students early on in the semester.
He was always the first in the class to express an opinion or thought and, quite frankly, helped
make the class very successful due to his participation. Michael is very perceptive; he could
grasp the larger picture of what I was trying to accomplish in my course almost immediately. He
has a tremendous ability to express himself both orally and in writing at any level. He also has
strong opinions and was very willing to share them verbally in the classroom.
His energy in the classroom, powerful insight, and motivation to excel combined with his
communications skills were the key foundation blocks that led me to offer him a Strategic
Account Executive position at Grasso Associates, LLC in January of this year. During this time
Michael was charged with and accountable for multiple duties including designing, creating, and
implementing a new website for my firm, generating both strategic and crisis management plans,
attending client meetings and attending weekly political events with the New England Council.
Michael is a very mature, serious, conscientious young man and his work with me reflected these
qualities. He is already working in the “real world” as a real estate agent. He is already
interacting with “real clients” and “real supervisors” and meeting “real deadlines”; his living
expenses as a student depended on his success in the “real world”. Without being dependable,
resourceful, and having tremendous initiative, he would not have been able to support himself
throughout his college years.
After working with Michael (sometimes on a day-to-day basis) this year and getting to know
him, I believe he would be an asset to any firm. Further, I may utilize Michael’s skills and talents
should my firm’s workload increase.
In sum, I regard Michael Beucler as an exceptional, hardworking, intelligent and conscientious
young man of the highest integrity. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
Sincerely,
Jim Grasso
