The Berkley Bridge Grid Deck Replacement project will replace four sections of the I-264 bridge over Berkley Avenue in Norfolk, Virginia over six weekends in April, May, and June 2010. Each section replacement will require closing the bridge to traffic from Friday at 8 PM to Monday at 5 AM. During the closures, traffic will be detoured to the Midtown Tunnel using alternate routes for eastbound and westbound traffic.

The Berkley Bridge Grid Deck Replacement project will replace four concrete filled sections
of the I-264 bridge over a six-week period beginning at the end of April. Each of the four
bridge deck section replacements require a weekend bridge closure to allow crews access
to the work site and for the concrete to set after the work is complete. Closures will begin on
Friday night at 8 p.m. and will be removed by Monday morning at 5 a.m. The Midtown
Tunnel is the suggested alternate route during the closures.
