Rakyat diseru perkasakan perpaduan demi negara
MARAN 26 Feb. - Rakyat diseru memperkasakan perpaduan dan ikatan
ukhuwah kerana perkara itu dapat menjamin kesinambungan kemajuan dan
kemakmuran negeri serta negara.
Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob berkata, banyak keistimewaan
terdapat di Malaysia yang boleh dijadikan model serta diiktiraf oleh negara luar
berikutan kejayaan dalam pelbagai bidang sekali gus menjadi contoh kepada
masyarakat dunia.
"Hubungan antara kaum merupakan elemen paling baik untuk memastikan
agenda pembangunan yang dirancang seperti dalam Bajet 2013 dapat
dijayakan dengan sempurna dan berkesan," katanya ketika berucap dalam
majlis Sambutan Tahun Baharu Cina peringkat Dewan Undangan Negeri
(DUN) Luit di Dewan MCA Pekan Srijaya di sini semalam.
Yang turut hadir, Ahli Parlimen Maran, Datuk Ismail Abdul Muttalib; Ahli Dewan
Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Luit, Datuk Ahmad Munawar Abdul Jalil; Pegawai
Daerah Maran, Datuk Fadzilla Salleh dan Pengerusi MCA Bahagian Maran,
Datuk Chow Liong.
Menurut Adnan, usaha ke arah perpaduan perlu disemarakkan supaya
keakraban lebih mantap dan tidak mudah digugat oleh pihak yang tidak
bertanggungjawab.
"Semua pihak harus berganding bahu melakukan usaha proaktif dalam
merealisasikan aspirasi rakyat yang cintakan perpaduan dan kemakmuran,"
jelasnya.
Beliau berkata, cara itu dapat dipupuk melalui aktiviti kemasyarakatan yang
memerlukan setiap kaum mengambil bahagian dalam setiap program
dijalankan.
Tambahnya, pendekatan itu mewujudkan semangat kerjasama dan saling
membantu antara satu sama lain sekali gus menghapuskan sikap
mementingkan diri sendiri.
Katanya, sikap negatif segelintir masyarakat yang hanya melakukan kerja
2. sendiri menyebabkan usaha memupuk semangat perpaduan sukar untuk
diterapkan.
