3. Challenges
• Availability of content in some specific areas
• Physical quality of resources such as sound quality in
videos
• Inaccurate information that may not have been
properly vetted
• Maintaining sustainability of OER resources
• Lack of knowledge in finding OER resources
• Lack of knowledge in understanding licensing for
both users and creators

4. My Thoughts
• I can see where many individuals may be hesitant in
publishing their works using a CC license in that they
believe they are giving away their intellectual property.
This is understandable if their intent is to profit from it.
However, if they are just wanting credit for their own
creations, this seems to be an ideal situation.
• Knowing how to locate OER is going to be a struggle for
some, for others it will be simple. There is always a
learning curve when exploring the new and unknown.
• One aspect of OER that I found disappointing is areas
that are new and emerging are not always well
represented. This is just the nature of the beast, it
happens in other forms of resources as well. I look
forward to the addition of new resources in specific fields
that I believe will be available on a continual basis.
