Editor's Notes

  • #4 The Axiell mission and our market Our IT platforms… help our customers uphold key pillars of society
  • #5 …the Axiell Group has a global presence. Our more than 300 colleagues in 15 countries support customers in 55 countries. We take being “Close to Customer” seriously and being global, we can combine closeness to customer with critical mass to invest in new products as well as picking up on best operating practices from around the world. Our user group meetings are key fixtures in our calendars, as these meetings provide us with a great opportunity to hear what we are doing well, where we need to improve and – importantly – how customer needs more generally are developing. In the next couple of slides, I will share with you a few of the ways in which we are incorporating your inputs into our actions, investments and strategies.
  • #6 Cross Over Between PL & ALM Markets 69% of Local Authorities in UK use an Axiell product There are 118 Local Authorities in the UK and Ireland that are using ALM products that are not yet using PL products There are 17 local authorities in UK and Ireland that are using PL products that are not yet using ALM There are 36 that are using both PL & ALM products with no integration who think of us as separate suppliers
  • #11 MANAGE is focused on best practices in the management and use of collections information & data. The goal is to have useful information about the collections that protects them for use now and in the future At the basic level this is a brief description and an image of each object as well as an up-to-date current location. Policies and optimised processes/workflows are supported by technology and staff training. It is important that there is an ongoing investment in MANAGE to help maintain accurate information about the collections. The SPECTRUM standard from Collections Trust covers many theoretical aspects of MANAGE
  • #12 The project combines filmographic data with geographic information and uses the Adlib API. Furthermore, it leverages crowdsourcing to increase the granularity of BFI's geodata.
  • #21 Customised Adlib Enterprise solution and browser based back-end Axiell Collections. 104 museums Hundreds of concurrent users Centralised data and authority controls Fully web based Working closely with ODM which is the equivalent of the Swedish Association of Museums
  • #22 Communicating the value of museums is difficult and tourism is one area that politicians and funders may understand better as it has a direct financial benefit to a city, region or country.
