Bees are dying at an alarming rate due to a phenomenon known as Colony Collapse Disorder. This disorder causes worker bees to suddenly disappear from their hives during winter or early spring. If bee populations continue to decline, it could have severe negative consequences for the environment and human food supply which relies heavily on crop pollination by bees.
