In November 1997, Jordan appeared in a Nike TV commercial. He was talking into a packed arena
as people chanted his name. “Michael! Michael! Michael!” Then he uttered this shocking
statement, “I’ve missed nine thousand shots in my careers. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six
