Some basic Principles of Indian Ethics for
Management as contained in Upanishads and Gita
are as under:
1. Each human being has immense potential energy
and talents
2. One (Manager) must develop one’s third eye
3. Work is done as worship – Karma Yoga (Selfless
work)
4. Yoga means excellence at work
5. By cooperation and mutual help all shall achieve
the highest human welfare

KARMA YOGA
Karma Yoga means do your duty without ego and
without calculation of gain or loss
Karma means action, duty or work done not with selfish
motive but with the objective of serving humanity
Yoga means excellence at work, seek to perform your
assigned duty or work in an excellent manner
A Man’s primary duty is to perform the job allocated to
him with devotion and perfection, only then he can
achieve Salvation
