Educators are constantly looking to enhance student learning through new technological tools, though technology can have both positive and negative effects. While technology has increased accessibility of education, students still need support networks. A study examined K-12 educators' perceptions of using technology in the classroom, including benefits like increased engagement but also drawbacks like impacts on motor skills. The purpose was to understand how technology affects learning and inform best practices to help students succeed.

Abstract Despite the promise of technology in educa-
tion, many practicing teachers are faced with multiple
challenges of effectively integrating technology into their
classroom instruction. Additionally, teachers who are suc-
cessful incorporating educational technology into their
instruction recognize that although technology tools have
the potential to help children, they are not ends in them-
selves. This article describes a Summer Institute project
that the authors facilitated in a medium sized midwest
public university. The summer workshop afforded partici-
pating early childhood education teachers exciting oppor-
tunities to interact with various instructional tools and
technology applications. Further, the practicing teachers
explored various strategies to integrate specific technology
tools into their lessons in a manner consistent with con-
structivist pedagogy. This article is intended to stimulate
reflections on the need to adopt a suitable technology
integration professional development model in early
childhood education classrooms to support young learners.

Introduction
The integration of educational technology into classroom
instruction to enhance student learning is of increasing
interest to stakeholders such as policymakers, administra-
tors, educators, students, and parents (Keengwe 2007).
Over the past decade, educators have been under pressure
to reform school through technology. Public and political
support for technology use has generated billions of dollars
toward increasing its availability to schools and colleges
(Cuban 2001; Oppenheimer 2003). About 90% of all
children today have used a computer (Debell and Chapman
2003). However, the National Center for Education Sta-
tistics (NCES) reported that only half of the public school
teachers who had computers or the Internet available in the
schools used them for classroom instruction (Judson 2006).
Many parents recognize that technology is important
and its use can improve the quality of work children
complete in and outside school (Kook 1997). Even so,
there are concerns about technology’s potential benefits or
harm to young children. By creating appropriate technol-
ogy-based learning environments and developmentally
appropriate activities for children, teachers can provide a
variety of positive learning experiences for young learners.
However, as Wang and Hoot (2006) note:

Students’ Perceptions of the Effectiveness of Technology Use by ProfessorsCathy Yang
This report is about Students’ Perceptions of the Effectiveness of Technology Use by Professors. It is based on the result of a survey conduct at SUNY potsdam in 2013.
A transformational principal plays a vital role in a school development. If I am appointed as a school principal, I will implement the development of technology to fulfill school’s initiative. An efficient technology has countless benefits in learning institutions. For students to perform effectively in the business world, it is important for them to know technology. Advanced technology in most of the schools encourages the use of minimal resources, and at the same time, it serves a significant number of people. Also, the use educational technology boosts student’s performance in school. They can meet the requirements of the instructor easily because there many samples online with a clear outline of how to handle the assignments. Besides, students can access their abilities through the use of technology. This paper discusses the role of technology in learning schools and the responsibilities of transformation principal.

Technology in Education
The topic regarding technology being used in education has been highly debated with some individuals supporting the thoughts while others highly refuting it. However, one thing that is evident is that in this age and era, technology has been touching many people’s lives in all rounds. It means that even if technology is not introduced in education, in one way or another, the children/students will find themselves interacting with it. Today, mobile phones are perfect example of technology which is owned by almost everyone across the world. At the same time, since the introduction of computers, many people today have their own ones which they use to acquire information from the internet or use for personal benefits such as playing games. Based on these underlying facts, it will not be fair for schools to be lagging behind in integrating technology in their classroom learning to offer better learning experience for both the teachers and the students (Edutopia 1). It is important for the students to be allowed to explore in details the potentials of technology for learning while the teachers become aware of its benefits in teaching. When technology is properly used, it will help the students to obtain the necessary and right skills that they need in order to survive in the current computerized and highly technical based economy. Technology in education should be initiated as a new discipline in learning because of its effectiveness in promoting learning experience while at the same time it positively affects the lives of not only the students but also the teachers and the entire staff members.
When you hear an individual talking about integrating technology in classroom, it does not only mean that it is a process whereby computer skills together with software programs are being taught in classroom. This means that for effective technology integration to take place, it should be applied across the entire curriculum in a manner that it will facilitate research while at the same time enhance the process of learning. Arizona State University is an example of an institution that is applying technology in classroom today. The reason for the university implementing technology is to support the learning process such as facilitate frequency in feedback and interaction, promote active engagement, connect the students to real-world, and enable them to actively get engaged with the school program and the entire world (Weir 1). Arizona State University is aware that the best way in which technology can be effectively used in the institution is by them being transparent about its usage. This makes it easy for the students and the entire staff to embrace technology while using it to enhance their curricular goals.
It is high time that people believe in technology in education especially its ability to make project learning easy and simple. It is actually considered as a plus for conducting ultra classroom instructions (Edutopia 1). Ar ...
The teaching and learning styles that teachers and students apply in their teaching and learning have dramatically changed due to technological advances particularly in computer. Technological advancements are affecting the way we teach and learn. Technology has found a profound home in the world of teaching and learning. Teaching/learning technologies (TLT) have received considerable attention of many including academicians in recent years. The promises of TLT vary for the respective publics. Many insist that students today do not learn well with traditional teaching and learning methods. They argue that students require presentations that are visual and stimulating. Classroom teachers hold the key to the effective use of technology to improve learning. Whatever the varying perceptions of the promises of teaching, leaning, technology, presentation instruction in the classroom, using the Web for teaching the bulk of their course, and many other faculty are considering adopting such technologies. This paper will examine some of the advantages and disadvantages of only one type of TLT, presentational technology in the classroom, and some of the issues for faculty to consider before adopting it.
This study explored the main barriers to effective integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Harare Secondary School Education. Data were collected using close ended questionnaires. Participatory research was also carried out to familiarize with the changes happening in secondary schools with respect to integration of ICT in education and to find out the challenges being faced. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS). The results showed that although teachers are aware of the benefits of using ICTs in education there was still limited use of this pedagogy in classrooms as teachers were facing a number of challenges which acted as barriers to the successful implementation of ICT in education. These include lack of a clear sense of direction on how to use ICT to enhance the learning of students, inadequate resources and support as well as lack of the required technological skills among the teachers. The study recommends that effective planning to counter these barriers before implementation would greatly increase the effectiveness of ICT integration in secondary schools.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
Digital Tools and AI for Teaching Learning and Research

1. FhEducators are constantly looking for the technological tools that are going to enhance the learning of
their students. However, technology has been viewed as a great resource in classrooms that has
heightened learning but has its negative effects on student learning.
With new information technology, education is fast becoming free of time and space. But every learner
still needs to be connected to a scaffold of support for lifelong learning achievement. Students need
parents, friends, and supervisors who are also teachers and coaches. The primary function of the school-
to-work movement is to mobilize understanding and support so that students will acquire the skills,
habits, values, and understandings essential to productivity in all the roles of life (Hakim et al. 2000, p.
263).
Technology is an important part of students’ lives. Incorporating technology into the classroom has
proved to be beneficial yet also has some drawbacks. Technology has helped student willingness and
engagement and allows for the enhancements of learning. According to Fisher, et al. (2014), “The need
for construction and engagement means that the best types of learning will be those that involve
choices that the student can make, and learning where there are meaningful contexts where the
student is engaged” (p. 5). But is this enough to outweigh some of the negatives? In a study conducted
by Sülzenbrück, et al. (2011) that examined the effect computer use has on motor skills, they discovered
that using modern technology could effect changes in basic psychomotor and cognitive skills. This
includes using tools such as computers, electronic organizers, navigation systems, etc. This can cause
concerns in student growth in the classroom. Furthermore, research also shows some pros and cons and
goes in depth into why technology may or may not be beneficial.
The purpose of this study was to examine K-12 educators’ perceptions regarding the use of technology
devices in the classroom, the benefits and drawbacks of the use of technology in education, and
particularly the impact on students’ learning. For the purpose of this study, technology included only
educational technology, i.e. internet and computer-mediated tools. It is important to understand the
impact of technology on student learning because it can significantly impair or empower the learner.
This study was intended to help educate teachers on best practices in the classroom. Students can
benefit from instruction that is aimed to help them achieve success. Parents of students can discover
how technology impacts their child’s learning. The findings from this study will contribute to existing
knowledge on technology incorporation in classroom settings.
