This document provides information about the Dissertation (PG) course for the BBA+MBA (Dual) program. The course is 17 weeks and carries 13 credits. Students will learn how to create a structured report on an academic topic by defining a scholarly inquiry involving systematic data gathering and analysis to produce a structured report. Supervisors will advise students on their topic, methodology, and dissertation structure and format. Students are expected to meet regularly with supervisors and submit weekly progress reports. The dissertation must follow guidelines for sections like the abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology, results, and references.

issues, involving a systematic approach to gathering and analysis of information / data,
leading to production of a structured report.
• To equip the student to apply concepts, theories, models, and tools in real life.
• To critically assess, evaluate and predict current and future metrics, research technologies,
and research data output related to the subject.
• To synthesize information to arrive at a coherent conclusion and evaluate the implications for
the recommendations presented.

preparation of the dissertation
• Dissertation to be converted into research paper for

Supervisor: To advise on:
• The topic, synopsis and work schedule of NTCC and its resources
• To assist the student in identifying problems/issues and
suggest/agree on specific action to address the risk assessment,
where appropriate
• Methodologies, Referencing / plagiarism
• Ethical practice and Information sources, including AUUP material,
to support planning.
• Structure and presentation of NTCC
• To monitor and discuss progress of NTCC
• To offer feedback on partial versions of NTCC
• To maintain regular supervisory contact.
• To contact any student who fails to attend supervisory sessions

Student
a) Commit to a schedule of meetings, in order to ensure that the agreed schedule is
adhered to and deadlines met.
b) Use supervisory time allocated effectively,
c)Manage tutorial / gap lectures/ briefing sessions effectively by preparingfor
same in advance,
d) Keep appointments which have been arranged,
e) To send regularly Weekly Progress Report (WPR) to Facultyguide
f)Maintain a record of supervisory meetings, in the format prescribed by the
university.
g)Act responsibly and professionally during any kind of interaction with the host
organization.
h)Make use of AUUP guidance and documentation to plan and monitor progressof
the NTCC.
i) Recognize ethical responsibilities and understand the regulations with regardto
plagiarism
