Poverty is defined as a lack of material possessions or money. The presentation discusses poverty rates around the world, including in the Philippines, Bangladesh, Nepal, South Africa, Pakistan, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Singapore. Two organizations that help people in poverty are mentioned: Food Pantries, which helps locate food resources, and Viriya Community Services, which provides community services and medical funds to low-income families in Singapore. While poverty could potentially be solved by equally sharing incomes, this may infringe on principles of democracy, equality and individual freedom.

• Poverty is general scarcity, dearth, or the state of one who lacks a certain
amount of material possessions or money. It is a multifaceted concept, which
includes social, economic, and political elements. Poverty may be defined as
either absolute or relative.

8. But why isn’t poverty not solved ?
• The video here talks a very controversial topic about why we don’t
solve poverty although we know how to do it ,it is common
concept by man that that these people need more money from
other to be able to survive and in the videos ,it talks about how by
having people just shares their incomes and we would have no
such thing as poverty around but with this communism would be
created and democracy and equality would be taken away as the
cost for no poverty ,is that really worth it ?
