The document discusses socio-economic groups that can be used to define a target audience, including Grade A (upper middle class professionals), Grade B (middle class intermediate managers), Grade C1 (lower middle class junior managers), Grade C2 (skilled working class), Grade D (working class manual workers), and Grade E (lowest level subsistence such as pensioners or students). It recommends selecting one of these socio-economic groups as the target audience for a media product.
The document analyzes a half-page review of the film "Much Ado About Nothing" in the LittleWhite Lies magazine. Some key points made in the analysis include: the review's shorter length and placement in the middle of the magazine suggests the film may be independent and not a blockbuster. The review has a different layout than full-page reviews, using pink colors and placing the image and title/director/stars on the same line. The review provides historical context about the film, details on filming locations and actors, and describes the film as a "teen drama," praising the director and actors.
The document discusses how film length is perceived differently depending on how engaged the audience is with the content. It suggests that subjective experience of time is not determined by actual length, as audiences immersed in an enjoyable film may not notice the running time at all. Additionally, films can manipulate time through techniques like fast forwarding over non-essential periods. Very short one-minute films are also discussed as a new creative format that focuses tightly on the core story alone without extraneous elements.
The document summarizes a film review from the Populaire magazine. It discusses various aspects of the review's layout, style, and content over multiple paragraphs. Key details include that the review is given a single page within the 97-page magazine, suggesting it is for an independent or non-blockbuster film. The review follows the magazine's standard format with a large image, information on the filmmakers, and a unique rating system. The language uses formal and descriptive terms to discuss the film's themes and plot over several paragraphs.
The document discusses conventions of comedy film posters such as bright colors, main characters, bold titles, credit blocks, high key lighting, focus on characters, and eye-catching taglines. It then describes the development of the poster for Aneeka Ishaq's media product, which features a bold title in the color scheme of a cupcake, main characters with comedic facial expressions, a credit block and logo, and a tagline on a white background. Feedback was incorporated from an initial version to focus the poster's comedic elements and story.

Microsoft

CurationAlthough it is easy to start a collection, it is often moredifficult to maintain it. For instance, the SIGCSE EducationalResources site [1] “is a collection of resources maintained andshared by SIGCSE members to support computer scienceeducation”. The content is broad, covering many topics, but seldomupdated. The Kinesthetic Learning Activities wiki [2] has a narrowerfocus, in that it only contains “physically engaging classroomexercises” but the content is (in 2010) effectively static.Once material is in a repository, it typically has to be maintained toremain useful. Over the years, external links often break, contentbecomes outdated, file formats change, etc. Only few resourcesremain fully useful over a long time without requiring updating. Thequestion of who takes responsibility for this maintenance is difficult, especially since – over a long time period – contributors disappear, lose interest or forget about resources.
