Basic Steps in a Process.
"A School Locker"
Understanding the user Needs
• Understanding the
user needs is a must
• Spend enough time
with the concerned
authorities and
students to
understand what they
want
Failure to understand the
requirements
Plan and Design the Requirements
• Plan out the structure
based upon the
details you gathered
• Do keep in mind the
cost and other
features like the
material to be used,
aesthetic and
acoustic nature of the
lockers and extra
add-ons while
designing.
Be ready for changes
• We must be ready for
any new inputs. As
customers usually
tend to provide new
inputs or changes.
Validation
• Verify and validate
whether all the
requirements/
changes specified are
met and complete.
• Fulfilling the
requirements of
customers to utmost
satisfaction should be
prioritized
Re-design
• As mentioned earlier,
users/clients tend to
specify changes. So
we must be prepared
to re-design our
plans/needs.
Implementation and completition
• Once the designs are
approved, we can look forward
to give life to the designs.
• Locker E.g.:
– One of the better solutions to
build lockers, is to build HDPE
lockers; as they have low input
and maintenance costs, and
they have better acoustic and
aesthetic features compared
to metal and wood lockers.
Such data is useful while
discussing the requirements
and plan/design phase of the
project.
