1. Students´ Weekly diary
3rd week Inmersión course in english
!
UIMP-Barcelona - Recinto Flor de Maig
SUNDAY SARA KANG
I arrived in Plaza Catalunya at 6pm. I met some other stu-
dents that were already there. We got on the bus to Cerdanyola
and in 30 minutes we arrived at the UIMP. Some staff from
the UIMP were there to check us in and give us a map of the
campus, a pen drive, and a folder. A member of the UIMP on
the bus gave us some information about the residence and the
schedules. The bus ride gave me the opportunity to get to know
some of the other students. We were all very enthusiastic about
the classes.
MONDAY CRISTINA PRIETO
In my second day I got up at half past seven, and headed to
the dining hall for breakfast. The class started at quarter past
nine. My first class was grammar followed by public spea-
king. At half past two, we went to lunch. After that we had
forty minutes to prepare our vocabulary class. By quarter past
six we were done and went back to our rooms or the common
areas to do our homework. Dinner was at half eight and after
that some of us continued with our homework, while others
played board games…
TUESDAY DAVID VILLALBA
On my third day I got up at 8:30 and I went to have
breakfast with colleagues. The classes began at 9:15. At
6.15 We finisihed, we went to do the exercises and I called
my parents. After dinner I prepared the presentation we
had to make the next day. When we finished our work, we
played cards and went to bed at 12:00.
It was a long but fun day in which we leanrt new con-
cepts and we got to know each other.
2. WEDNESDAY TINA JOSIANE
During the day, the most important thing is to
learn and speak English. But after the classes, you
can enjoy doing other things (speaking English)
with your friends and classmates, such as sport, ka-
raoke an excursion. As I´m from Barcelona, instead
of that, I prefered to go and sort ont an urgent ad-
ministrative issue. And after that, i went at home to
have the dinner with my flatmates.
THURSDAY ALEX MENÉNDEZ
The first thing that we did was to be go in a group to
have breakfast in the dining room and then we went to
class to do first public speaking, and later vocabulary.
This week I have improved my oral presentations, I lear-
ned how to do it correctly, seeing my expanded vocabu-
lary and learning how to structure correctly. I found the
course very useful because it makes you think in En-
glish and, above all, respond to English. A good expe-
rience with two benefits in one: to learn or improve your
English and meet people. I recommend it.
do. Al levantarme me di cuenta que ya se había acabado
“The Immersion Course” pero a la vez también empezaba
una amistad entre treinta personas que de aquí en ade-
lante nos llamaremos amigos.
Este curso de inglés me ha servido para mejorar acadé-
mica y personalmente.
