2. • Metro project
• Dhaka is the capital city of Bangladesh. Traffic jam is the most
dreadful problem of our city. We cannot imagine the city without
traffic jam. But now government has found the solution for reducing
traffic jam. Now we can reach Motijheel within just an hour from
Uttara. Before metro rail, it would have taken three to three and a half
hours. It was a very challenging project for the government of
Bangladesh. It is a good news that our government has almost
finished the project and the rest of the work is going on very rapidly.
3. Economic development:
• Metro rail service has accumulated a huge amount of money. Metro
rail has ensured a lot of employment in the City. Nevertheless, it is
one of the greatest public facilities of Dhaka city. Metro rail saves us
from the hassle of waiting in traffic for hours and hours. Metro rail is
providing lots of jobs under MRT project. Bangladesh has made a
name for itself in the world after installing metro rail system in Dhaka.
Metro rail has given Dhaka city a new identity. Metro rail might
become an example on the stage of world economy.
4. Story of Satisfaction:
I know a woman who takes metro rail service every day. And she
always speaks happily on behalf of Metro Rail. A charming smile
breaks out on her face when she talks about Metro Rail. And we
know her as our faculty Mrs. Malvika Majumder. She says that if
metro rail were not here, she would have left her job as she would
have faced terrible traffic everyday. I personally use metro rail very
less frequently. But I understand from her smile of satisfaction that
how enjoyable this project is for the people of Dhaka city. Metro rail
is acting as a blessing for us.
5. Conclusion:
In the end I would like to say that, when the metro rail project will
encompass the whole city, then moving in around Dhaka city will be
as easy and enjoyable as moving in and around most of the modern
cities in the world. Metro rail will save people's precious time who
commute in Dhaka city on everyday basis. The whole system will
increase the interest of people taking jobs in the other corner of the
city without thinking about the hassle of going to office every morning.
Eventually, this will result in economic and urban development.
