Anger Education Many don’t realize that most  anger , “a strong feeling of displeasure or hostility” exists when people are not following God’s instructions. Incentive? Just think about it,  anger  is the opposite of peace.  Romans 8:1, 6 No Jesus No Peace,  Know Jesus Know Peace!
Anger Is Dangerous Anger itself is  not a sin .  Eph. 4:26 Do not let anger continue We must be slow to wrath (anger)  James 1:19 Even Jesus was angry a few times but not without cause.  Mt. 21:12-13; Ps. 145:8 Not to murder! Anger leads to hate Hate is the same as murder.  1 Jn. 3:15
Peace Protects We must strive for peace with folks or we cannot have peace with God.  2 Cor. 13:11 Angry “without a cause,” it’s a choice to be this way, a choice not to love  =  sin. Galatians 5:13-16; 1 Jn. 4:21 Sin equals hellfire for you if you don’t change.  Mt. 5:22; 18:9; Eph. 4:31-32 Strive to be friends with folks not enemies!  Heb. 12:14
Wrath Damages Us If you don’t try to work things out, problems will multiply on you.  Sin always costs you more than you’ll ever want to pay!  25-26; Prov. 17:14 Walk in wisdom toward those who are without (non-Christians)  Col. 4:5-6
Lack of Temper Control What happens when you get angry (lose your temper)? You walk a crooked path  James 1:20 Makes you helpless  Prov. 25:28 Makes you foolish  Eccl. 7:9; Prov. 14:17, 29 Make trouble for yourself  Prov. 19:19 You create more trouble  Prov. 15:18 Your temper is the only thing you can’t get rid of by losing it.  Tame it, Control it !
Principle’s for Expelling Anger Admit you’re angry .  “ Be angry” It’s a God-given emotion Lies start trouble, don’t deceive yourself  Eph. 4:26-27 Be willing to listen, even to yourself, what’s really happening.  James 1:19  “Let every man be quick to hear…” When we stop listening, we start losing!
2.  Understand your anger .  “and do not sin”  Anger is not a cause its an effect. In order to understand your anger, ask yourself,  Why am I angry? We get angry for 3 basic reasons: We are hurt. Control your anger. “ Do not give place to the devil”  Eph. 4:27 Uncontrolled anger gives the devil a place to work from and will control you, if you let him/it.  2 Tim. 2:22, 26 You can control it ( 2 Pet. 1:6 )!
